BURSA MALAYSIA –
For the financial period ended 31 July 2024, the Group recorded a revenue of RM628.8 million and PBT of RM48.9 million as compared with a revenue and PBT of RM618.7 million and RM37.8 million respectively for the previous financial period. The higher revenue and profit was mainly due to the increase of local sales and profit margin. Going forward, we will closely monitor steel price changes to ensure our pricing strategy protects our profit margins and maintains competitiveness as the Volatile steel prices and currency fluctuations have created uncertainty in our pricing policies
BURSA MALAYSIA –
PBT decreased by 40.6% to RM38 million compared with RM64 million for FY2022. The Group’s performance was greatly affected in the first half of FY2023, with the sharp decline of steel demand and weakening market sentiment. The Group will continue to concentrate its efforts on increasing operational effectiveness as it looks into the possibility of producing new metal building material products to break into new local and international market segments.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The revenue and PBT for the current quarter were RM168.2 million and RM9.9 million respectively compared to revenue of RM158.1 million and PBT of RM12.1 million for the immediate preceding quarter ended 31 July 2022. The Group reported higher revenue was mainly due to strong market demand in the oversea market. However, PBT was reducing as compare with the immediate preceding quarter mainly due to the lower selling prices led to the lower profit margin.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
For the FY 2022, the Group achieved higher revenue of RM613 million with a lower profit before tax of RM64 million as compared to RM580 million turnover and RM82 million PBT achieved in FY 2021. The market demand was low due to the construction industry slowdown. The Group performance was greatly affected in the second half of FY2022 primarily due to higher costs of goods sold and the write-down of inventories to net realisable value of RM16.6 million that eroded the profit margin. While the market outlook remains uncertain with various lingering challenges, we will continue to build our resilience for future growth and seek business opportunities that will expand our businesses.
