Despite significant business disruptions as a result of the lockdowns imposed, the Group successfully surmounted the challenges and uncertainties to report a historical high profit before taxation of RM82.0 million for the current financial year 2021 as compared to the previous year’s PBT of RM28 million. The improvement on PBT was mainly due to heightened average selling prices boosting profit margins. PBT for the current quarter was recorded at RM76.486 million, an increase of 106.2% compared to RM37.086 million recorded in preceding quarter. The higher PBT was mainly due to lower impairment losses of RM112.012 million in current quarter as compared to RM174.368 million in preceding quarter.
