BURSA MALAYSIA –
Zelan Group recorded profit before tax and zakat of RM68,405 million in FY2023. However, the profit before tax and zakat was primarily driven by the reversal of accrued interest from borrowing with the Bank in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Zelan Group will maintain its focus on providing asset management services to IIUM. Further, pursuant to the Concession
Agreement with IIUM, the Group will continue to undertake the asset management replacement works wherein the Group is given first right of refusal to undertake the asset management replacement works.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group posted Loss After Zakat Tax (“LAZT”) of RM5.6 million for the current financial year under review, as opposed to a Profit After Zakat Tax (“PAZT”) of RM3.1 million reported in the corresponding financial year. The LAZT was mainly attributable to the discounting of receivables amounting to RM23.9 million. For existing contracts, we will continue to deliver the best services to our customers. We will continue to optimise potential revenue and progressively reduce costs as we deliver uncompromised quality. In the meantime, the group will continue to prudently manage operations. The Group actively participates in viable tender exercises to leverage our capabilities.
