BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded pre-tax profit of RM82.2 million – a decline of 43% from the comparable figure of RM144.1 million in the previous year. Notably, FY 2023 pre-tax profit included RM3.8 million net reversal of impairment of bearer plants – comprising RM8.3 million reversal of impairment of bearer plants in Millian-Labau Plantations in Sabah, net of RM4.5 million impairment of bearer plants in WRL, RM3.6 million impairment of other asset in WRL, RM2.7 million reversal of discounted value of Plasma receivables and RM0.9 million loss on termination of lease liabilities. In line with UMB’s diversification plan, two estates have further expanded trial planting of new crops such as pepper and pineapples, aside from stevia which was started in the previous financial year. Management will monitor the outcome of these trials and assess the feasibility of expanding their hectarage.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a pre-tax profit of RM31.8 million which was 9% higher than RM29.1 million in the preceding quarter. Excluding the discounting value of Plasma receivables and impairment of intangible asset, the Group recorded a pre-tax profit of RM31.8 million which was 28% lower than RM44.2 million in the preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a pre-tax profit of RM26.9 million which was 32% lower than RM39.4 million in the preceding quarter. This is due to the discounting value of Plasma receivables and impairment of intangible asset

The Group recorded a pretax profit of RM48.3 million which was 77% higher than RM27.3 million in the preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
During the current quarter ended 31 July 2020, the Group recorded a pretax profit of RM1.9 million compared with a pretax loss of RM72.1 million in the preceding quarter which included an impairment loss of bearer plants of RM56.8 million.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 1.22 million. It was slightly low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 78.1 million and auditor’s remuneration of 242 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
During the current quarter ended 30 April 2020, the Group recorded a pretax loss of RM71.9 million. Excluding the impairment on bearer plants of RM56.8 million, the Group’s pre-tax loss would be RM15.1 million compared with a pre-tax profit of RM4.2 million in the preceding quarter. It is due to lower unit cost of production and FFB production despite lower average CPO price.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a revenue of RM 87,473 as compared to RM 76,992 for the preceding quarter, representing a marginal increase of RM 10,481 or 14% due to higher average CPO price and PK price together with improvement in yields as well as higher average.
