BURSA MALAYSIA –
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation saw a decrease mainly as a result of lower profits and a higher finance cost in FY2022. This led to a decrease in overall profit before tax, primarily due to the provision of a RM75 million impairment loss on receivables. Despite the challenges posed by the market scenario, SymLife remains in expansion mode as we stride into FY2024. We aim to continue evolving and adapting our business model to meet the risks and opportunities that are emerging from this market outlook, leveraging the strengths, resources and capabilities of the Group to formulate an effective response and close any performance gaps as they arise.

The Group reported higher revenue and gross profit for the current quarter compared to the preceding quarter mainly due to higher contribution from Union Suites @ Bandar Sunway project. Despite higher gross profit achieved during the current quarter, the Group registered higher loss before tax compared to the preceding quarter mainly due to RM2.5 million provision of doubtful debts made during the current quarter as well as higher share of losses of from jointly controlled entities.

BURSA MALAYSIA –
The revenue and gross profit for the current quarter is higher than that of the immediate preceding quarter. This is mainly due to the fact that the results of the immediate preceding quarter were affected by the termination of sales amounting to RM23.68 million for Amanjaya land, Tijani Raja Dewa, Tijani Ukay and an additional RM3 million provision for liquidated and ascertained damages (“LAD”) on the possible delay in delivery of vacant possession for our projects.
