BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s profit before tax decreased to RM7.6 million compared to RM15.6 million in FY2022. The lower profit in FY2023 was primarily due to the loss-making position of the Plantations segment. The Group will continue to focus on increasing the production of FFB from its estates in order to achieve economies of scale. The Group’s expansion of planted area will also contribute to this in the coming years. The Group remains fundamentally optimistic about the long-term prospects of the palm oil industry
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The decrease in revenue in the oil palm plantations segment was due to decrease in average CPO and FFB prices by 2.1% and 5.2% respectively compared to the immediate preceding quarter and the slight decrease in FFB production from the Group’s estates of 1.7% or 184mt compared to Q3 2022. The energy and facility management segment registered an increased profit of RM4.22 million in the current quarter compared to the immediate preceding quarter due to improved profits from its associate company. The Group recorded a profit before tax of RM2.46 million for the current quarter as compared to a profit before tax of RM1.10 million in the immediate preceding quarter ended 30 Sept 2022.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The decrease in revenue in the oil palm plantations segment was due to decrease in average CPO and FFB prices by 39.1% and 40.7% respectively compared to the immediate preceding quarter. However, the increase in FFB production from the Group’s estates of 8.0% or 810mt compared to Q2 2022 has cushion off the negative price trend. As a result of this, the Group recorded a profit before tax of RM1.10 million for the current quarter as compared to a profit before tax of RM6.64 million in the immediate preceding quarter ended 30 June 2022.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The increase in revenue in the oil palm plantations segment can be attributed to an increase in average CPO and FFB prices by 8.2% and 5.1% respectively compared to the immediate preceding quarter. In addition, FFB production from the Group’s estates increased by 22.0% or 1,822mt compared to Q1 2022. As a result of this, the Group recorded a profit before tax of RM6.64 million for the current quarter as compared to a profit before tax of RM5.39 million in the immediate preceding quarter ended 31 March 2022.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The marginal decrease in revenue in the oil palm plantations segment can be attributed to drop in FFB production of 1,570 mt which was offset by the higher CPO and FFB prices which increased by 17.5% and 18.9% respectively compared to the immediate preceding quarter. As a result of this, the Group recorded a profit before tax of RM5.39 million for the current quarter as compared to a profit before tax of RM6.08 million in the immediate preceding quarter ended 31 December 2021.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The increase in revenue in the oil palm plantations segment can be attributed to a slight increase in FFB production of 104 mt as well as higher CPO and FFB prices which increased by 16.7% and 21.1% respectively compared to the immediate preceding quarter. As a result of this, the Group recorded a profit before tax of RM6.08 million for the current quarter as compared to a profit before tax of RM5.63 million in the immediate preceding quarter ended 30 September 2021.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a profit before tax of RM5.63 million for the current quarter as compared to a profit before tax of RM99.22 million in the immediate preceding quarter. The Group’s high profitability in the immediate preceding quarter was mainly due to the recognition of negative goodwill of RM98.62 million arising from the acquisition of the entire equity interest in Tunas Selatan Pagoh Sdn Bhd which was completed on 21 May 2021.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a profit before taxation of RM99.22 million for the current quarter as compared to a profit before tax of RM1.63 million in the immediate preceding quarter ended 31 March 2021. The increase in the Group’s profitability was mainly due to the recognition of negative goodwill arising from the acquisition of the entire equity interest in Tunas Selatan Pagoh Sdn Bhd which was completed on 21 May 2021.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a profit before taxation of RM1.63 million for the current quarter as compared to a profit before tax of RM2.70 million in the immediate preceding quarter ended 31 December 2020. The decrease in profit was mainly due to increased finance costs incurred as a result of the completed issuance of Islamic Medium Term Notes (“Sukuk Wakalah”) amounting to RM80.0 million in December 2020.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
As a result of the increases in average CPO and FFB prices, the Group recorded a profit before taxation of RM2.70 million for the current quarter as compared to a profit before tax of RM0.67 million in the immediate preceding quarter ended 30 September 2020.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
