BURSA MALAYSIA –
Despite improved performance from the Upstream segment, the Group reported a net profit from continuing operations of RM635 million, 2% lower than the preceding quarter, due to lower profits from the Downstream segment.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported a net profit from continuing operations of RM562 million, a 46% improvement as compared to the preceding quarter, mainly due to stronger recurring PBIT contributed by the Upstream segment and higher profit from nonrecurring transactions, which compensated for the decline in profit from the Downstream segment.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported a net profit from continuing operations of RM190 million, a 50% decline as compared to the preceding quarter, mainly due to lower non-recurring PBIT. In the current quarter, the Group registered a non recurring LBIT of RM15 million mainly from impairment of assets, as compared to a gain of RM197 million from sale of land and divestment of subsidiaries in the preceding quarter. The recurring PBIT of the Group declined marginally to RM347 million, due to lower contribution by the Upstream segment, which was partially compensated by stronger results from the Downstream segment
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Upstream segment’s continuing operations reported a PBIT of RM316 million, 10% higher than the preceding quarter, arising from higher FFB production and lower costs of production. Downstream reported a PBIT of RM24 million, 74% lower than the preceding quarter, mainly due to the weaker performance of the refineries in Europe and Africa
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s recurring PBIT increased to RM380 million, as compared to RM62 million in the preceding quarter, attributable to the turnaround of the Upstream segment which recorded PBIT of RM288 million in the current quarter as compared to a LBIT of RM10 million reported in the preceding quarter, as well as the continuing improved profits from the Downstream segment.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 8.46 million. It was low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 2301.1 million and auditor’s remuneration of 2769 thousands
