BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a PBT of RM3.230 million for financial year ended 31 August 2024 as compared to a PBT of RM13.150 million for FYE 2023. This represents a decrease of RM9.920 million or 75.44% mainly due to lower revenue achieved and higher provision of inventories write down. Moving forward, the substantial increase in provision of inventories write-down reflects the Group’s strategic decision to accelerate impairment of older titles and focus on the production of newer publications which can contribute more significantly to our financial performance through the MADANI Book Voucher initiative. The Group is confident that the MADANI Book Voucher initiative will contribute significantly to the earnings of the Group in FYE 2025, particularly in Q1 FYE 2025, where the full impact of the book voucher sales will be registered.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a revenue of RM69.034 million and net profit of RM0.841 million for the current financial year as compared to a revenue of RM62.902 million and net loss of RM9.251 for the preceding financial year. This represents an improvement of RM12.427 million primarily due to the higher revenue achieved and lower provision of inventories write down where RM3.450 million was recognised in the current quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a LBT of RM2.702 million for the current financial quarter as compared to a PBT of RM2.361 million for the immediate preceding financial quarter mainly due to the provision of inventories write down of RM3.449 million recognised in the current quarter and lower revenue achieved.

The Group recorded a PBT of RM2.361 million for the current financial quarter as compared to a PBT of RM4.923 million for the immediate preceding financial quarter mainly due to lower revenue achieved. The higher revenue in the immediate preceding financial quarter was attributed to the higher sales of our academic books in anticipation of the start of the new academic school year in March 2022.

The Group recorded a PBT of RM4.923 million for the current financial quarter as compared to a loss before tax of RM2.609 million for the immediate preceding financial quarter mainly due to the higher revenue achieved. The increase in revenue was due to the deferment of the new academic year

The Group recorded a LBT of RM2.609 million for the current financial quarter as compared to a LBT of RM17.668 million (equivalent to 85.23%) for the immediate preceding financial quarter mainly due to the impairments made for inventories and goodwill as well as higher expenses incurred in the immediate preceding financial quarter.

In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 0.7 million. It was low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 21.7 million and auditor’s remuneration of 282 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a revenue of RM6.788 million for the current financial quarter as compared to RM4.946 million for the immediate preceding financial quarter, representing an increase of RM1.842 million (equivalent to 37.24%). The increase arose mainly from the effect of the resumption of operations of the Group post MCO, which was declared in the previous financial quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a revenue of RM4.946 million for the current financial quarter as compared to RM22.961 million for the immediate preceding financial quarter, representing a decrease of RM18.015 million (equivalent to 78.46%). The decrease was mainly due to the decrease by our Print Publishing Division of RM18.103 million during the current quarter which was partly impacted by the MCO. The better results recorded in the immediate preceding financial quarter was related to the seasonality patterns where higher sales was recorded due to the start of the school academic year.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a revenue of RM22.961 million for the current quarter as compared to RM27.745 million for the preceding quarter, representing a decrease of RM4.784 million. The decrease was affected by our Print Publishing Division, which shown a decrease of RM4.899 million. The Group recorded a profit before tax of RM3.045 million for the current quarter as compared to RM5.877 million for the preceding quarter. The decrease in the PBT by RM2.832 million was mainly due to the decrease in revenue and higher payroll cost.
