BURSA MALAYSIA –
PBT of the Group amounted to RM19.9 million in FY2024, representing a decrease of 28.7% from RM27.9 million in FY2023 was in line with the decrease in gross profit offset by higher other income and lower finance costs. Moving forward, In view of this trying time, the Group will remain resilient and vigilant in addressing these uncertainties in all levels of decision making. The Group will align its strategies of cost controlling, enhancing production efficiency, development of new products and new designs with the prevailing market situation.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax of the Group amounted to RM27.9 million in FY2023, representing a decline of 42.9% from RM48.8 million in FY2022. The decrease was in line with the decrease in gross profit due to lower sales recorded by all plants in FY2023 compared to FY2022 due to lower shipments to US and lower demand from local market. The Group will align its strategies of cost controlling, enhancing production efficiency, development of new products and new designs with the prevailing market situation. Over the long term, the outlook for RKIB remains positive due to the strength, capability and experience
of the Group. The Group is always ready for any acquisition or joint venture opportunities for business or assets that are related and synergise with RKIB”s activities.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group has recorded a decline in PBT from RM14.4 million in preceding quarter to RM14.0 million in current quarter, representing a decrease of 2.8%. The decrease in PBT was in line with the decrease in gross profit offset with lower selling and distribution expenses. The decrease in gross profit was due to margin compression as discounts were given to our customers to boost shipments
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group has recorded a decline in PBT from RM25.2 million in preceding quarter to RM14.4 million in current quarter, representing a decrease of 42.9%. The decrease in PBT was in line with the decrease in gross profit and higher administrative expenses. The decrease was mainly attributable to lower sales recorded by furniture plants in Vietnam due to slowdown in shipment in current quarter as a result of high inventory level at our customers’ warehouses in United States and lower sales recorded by panel board lamination plant due to slowdown in local market demand in current quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group has recorded a significant increase in PBT from RM7.5 million in preceding quarter to RM13.2 million in current quarter, representing an increase of 76.0%. The Group’s revenue surged by 27.7% to RM194.8 million as compared to the preceding quarter of RM152.5 million. The increase was mainly attributable to higher sales recorded by furniture plants due to higher shipment in current quarter higher local sales recorded by sawmill plants.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group has recorded a decrease in PBT from RM30.3 million in preceding quarter to RM14.5 million in current quarter, representing a decrease of 52.1%. The substantial decrease in PBT was mainly attributable in line with the decrease in gross profit and absence of final insurance compensation in current quarter compared to RM7.8 million received by a furniture plant in Vietnam in preceding quarter for a fire incident occurred in FY2018.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 2.06 million. It was slightly low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 153.5 million and auditor’s remuneration of 457 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue declined 2.5% to RM138.6 million as compared to the preceding quarter of RM142.2 million and was mainly due to lower sales recorded by furniture plants as shipments of goods to buyers in United States were on hold or delayed due to Covid-19 pandemic. It is also due to lower sales recorded by panel board lamination plant due to lockdown during Movement Control Order offset with strengthening of US Dollar against Ringgit Malaysia by 0.9%.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue declined 32.1% to RM142.2 million as compared to the preceding quarter of RM209.3 million. The substantial change was mainly attributable to lower sales recorded by furniture plants amounting to RM68.0 million in the quarter under review as shipments of goods to buyers in United States (“US”) were on hold or delayed due to Covid-Wuhan (“Covid-19”) pandemic and lesser production days as the quarter under review is a low season due to festive holidays and lockdown during Movement Control Order (“MCO”) in Malaysia.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group has recorded an increase in PBT from RM7.9 million in preceding quarter to RM9.4 million in current quarter, representing an increase of 19.0%. The increase in PBT was mainly attributable to in line with the increase in gross profit; offset with registered foreign exchange loss of RM1.7 million in current quarter compared to foreign exchange gain of RM0.1 million in preceeding quarter; and impairment loss on trade receivables amounting to RM1.2 million.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 2.05 million. It was slightly low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 155.8 million and auditor’s remuneration of 472 thousands
