BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a lower PBT of RM14.6 million for FYE 2022, representing an 87.7% decrease compared to the RM118.8 million PBT recorded in FYE 2021. The Group’s performance was adversely affected by the downward correction of steel prices in the second half of 2022 and the write-down of inventories to the net realisable value of RM14.0 million in FYE 2022 (compared to RM7.2 million in FYE 2021), which eroded the profit margin. Going Forward, the Group remained vigilant and focused on implementing effective procurement and distribution strategies, optimising costs, and improving operational efficiencies and internal processes. The Group also strives to maintain a healthy cash-flow position to ensure sustainability.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Higher revenue of RM143.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2022 ((a2022) compared to the preceding quarter QA2022) of RM132.6 million was mainly due to improve in sales tonnage resulted from normalization of steel prices during the current quarter under review. Loss before tax (“PBT”) for the quarter under review has reduced by 48.8% from RM13.9 million for the preceding quarter QA2O22) to RM7.1 million in the current quarter (Q.2022) which was mainly due to improved sales volume.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax (“PBT”) of the Group has dropped to Loss before tax of RM13.9 million in 3Q2022 from RM14.7 million Profit before tax in 2Q2022. The significant lower PBT for the current financial quarter was mainly due to the adverse impact of steel price decline trend which began towards the end of 2nd quarter as well as the impairment charge of RM3.1 million on its inventory valuation.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group revenue for the quarter under review reduced by 35.3% to RM80.6 million mainly due to the re-imposition of stricter movement Full MCO which started on 1 June 2021 and affected the operations of our Group. Nevertheless, the Group experienced higher PBT as a result of better margin during this period on the back of increased raw materials prices and strong customer demand. PBT has increased from RM25.1 million to RM26.8 million with reasons mentioned above. Two associate companies of the Group also contributed positively during the quarter under review.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group revenue for the quarter under review reduced by 11.2% to RM124.5 million mainly due to the re-imposition of stricter movement control order FMCO which started on 1 June 2021 and affected the operations of our Group. Nevertheless, the Group experienced slightly higher PBT as a result of better margin during this period on the back of increased raw materials prices and strong customer demand. PBT has increased from RM23.8 million to RM25.1 million in the current quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Compared with the immediate preceding quarter, Group revenue for the quarter under review reduced by 43.1% to RM53.3 million as a result of the lockdown MCO imposed during the quarter which affected the sales and operations of the Group
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Compared with the immediate preceding quarter, Group revenue for the quarter under review reduced by 16.20/o to RM93.7 million as a result of the lockdown MCO imposed beginnlng 18 March ZOiO w6ictr affected the sales and operations of the Group. Profit before tax for the luarter under review were higher at RM4.4 million as compared to RM1j3 million of the immediate preceding quarter mainly due to the recognition of a property disposal gain and strong demand during the early stage of quarter.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 7.62 million. It was high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 41.1 million and auditor’s remuneration of 207 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Compared with the preceding quarter, Group revenue for the current quarter was RM111.8 million compared to RM117.1 million in preceding quarter as a result of sluggish and unfavourable market conditions. Proflt before tax for the current quarter were lower at RM1.3 million as compared to RM2.1 million of the preceding quarter due to losses reported by some subsidiaries.
