FY24’s PBT of RM15.4 million reflected an increase from FY23’s adjusted PBT of RM13.6 million, in line with increased revenue. This impressive growth was primarily driven by higher sales in the insulation business, fueled by strong demand. The passing of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Bill 2023 (“EECB”) in Malaysia marks a significant milestone in
regulating energy consumption and conservation. As one of Malaysia’s pioneer insulation manufacturers, we are well-positioned to benefit from the EECB by developing new products and services that cater to the growing demand for energy-efficient solutions. We also plan to launch Phase 1 of our residential and commercial development by end 2024.

We have done exceptionally well in FY23, achieving a total revenue of RM91.1 million, which is our highest since inception and marked an impressive 58.2% Year-on-Year increase from previous year’s revenue of RM57.6 million. This notable increase was largely attributable to higher volume of insulation products produced and sold during the financial year under review. FY23 profit before tax too, surged by more than eight folds YoY to RM24.3 million from RM3.0 million in FY22 in tandem with the jump in revenue. Fibre Glasswool and Related Products will remain as the key driver of the Group’s profitability, and we foresee minimal changes in the geographical and revenue contributions from our products in the upcoming financial year. As the drop in ocean freight costs gradually alleviates inflationary pressure, we expect a reduction in operating costs, positioning us competitively in the market

The sales revenue from the fibre glasswool of RM13.2 million is higher compared to RM9.9 million in the immediate preceding quarter. The Company had experienced FMCO lockdown and plant shut down for furnace rebuild in the immediate preceding quarter. However, the furnace rebuild and plant upgrading was completed with production resumed in October 2021. Therefore, higher sales achieved in the current quarter and contributed to minimal profit before tax for the current quarter ended 30 November 2021.

    BURSA MALAYSIA

The Group recorded a lower profit before tax of RM3.37 million for the current quarter ended 28 Feb 2021 as compared to the immediate preceding quarter profit before tax of RM3.55 million. This was mainly due to lower sales revenue in fibre glasswool, RM16.2 million compared to RM17.5 million immediate preceding quarter. The reasons for lower sales in current quarter are festive holiday season and also freight issues as mentioned in last quarter Interim Financial Report
