BURSA MALAYSIA –
The loss before and after tax in current quarter were mainly due to one-off fair value adjustment on Assets Held for Sale amounting to RM109.5 million, as a result of writing down the carrying amount to their fair value less costs to sell. Excluding the one-off fair value adjustment above, the Group recorded PBT and PAT for the quarter at RM10.8 million and RM8.0 million respectively
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded the Loss before tax and Loss after tax of the quarter at RM9.8 million and RM10.6 million respectively. The losses is mainly due to exceptional cost incurred in relation to covid related management and additional earthwork cost.
The Star –
Pestech Internatinal Bhd (PSB) together with Furukawa Electric Co Ltd (FECL) have bagged a contract worth RM165.36mil in Cambodia for two underground cable work projects. The total contract value is 2.22 billion yen (RM85mil) and US$19.94mil (RM80.36mil). PSB pointed out that this is the first 230kV underground cable work project undertaken by EDC in Cambodia.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 11.32 million. It was slightly high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 82.6 million and auditor’s remuneration of 559 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax for the current quarter under review was recorded at RM25.7 million as compared to RM16.4 million for the immediate preceding quarter. The PBT margin for the quarter under review and immediate preceding quarter were 13% and 8% respectively. The PBT margin is higher mainly attributable to the inception of revenue recognition of our newly procured Built Transferred project in Cambodia.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group registered a revenue of RM218.8 million as compared to RM222.1 million for the preceding year corresponding quarter. The revenue of the Group was affected by Covid-19 lockdown due to the lack of activities at project sites in Malaysia and the Philippines. The Group recorded profit before tax of RM16.4 million as compared to RM23.7 million for the preceding year corresponding quarter. The profit before tax is affected by the finance costs of the completed projects without corresponding finance income for those projects.
INVESTING MALAYSIA –
12 MAR 20 – Pestech International Bhd has terminated a Memorandum of Understanding to explore the possibility of participating in waste-to-energy (WTE) development projects in Cu Chi, Vietnam.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded revenue of RM190.9 million for current quarter as compared to RM187.4 million for preceding quarter. Profit before tax for the current quarter was recorded at RM17.3 million as compared to RM23.9 million for preceding quarter. The profit before tax was lower, this was mainly due to higher finance costs at RM14.6 million.

(15 JAN 20) Pestech International Bhd, which is engaged in the provision of electrical power facilities, is expanding its business in Cambodia by acquiring a 94% stake in a Cambodian company.

(27 DEC 19) Pestech International Bhd has received a contract worth a total of RM111.76 million from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) to upgrade substations.

PESTECH (23 DEC 19) Pestech International Bhd shares rose 2.33% this morning after it clinched a US$17.03 million (RM70.5 million) engineering, procurement and construction contract from PNG Power Ltd (PPL) for the latter’s Port Moresby Power Grid Development Project in Papua New Guinea. This is the third contract awarded by PPL to Pestech, with the first two being in 2008 and 2016.
