The Group revenue of RM110.4 million was lower by RM23 million or 17.3% compared to immediate preceding quarter of RM133.4 million. This is mainly due to lower vessel utilisation, coupled with lower activities executed in the existing contract during the quarter partially offset by increase in revenue from non-routine scope from TSA extension. As a result, the Group recorded profit before taxation of RM2.4 million as compared to RM24.3 million in Q3 2022.

    The Star

The oil and gas (O&G) industry, that has been in the doldrums due to the supply glut and plunging energy prices caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, is likely to end the year on a high note. A turnaround is taking pace which saw the Brent crude oil hitting its highest level since March at US$48.80 per barrel on hopes of an effective vaccine that could pave the way for the travel and energy industries to recover. Oil-related stocks hogged the Bursa Malaysia top gainers list yesterday following a refreshed outlook on the industry. Petra Energy Bhd surged 10.75% to RM1.03.

The Group revenue of RM146.5 million was 107.8% higher than the immediate preceding quarter. This is mainly due to higher activities performed in the Group’s existing services contract and the improved project execution efficiency and cost management. In addition, there was a contribution from a new Technical Service Agreement under its development and production segment in Q3 2020.
