BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue was higher by RM1.7 billion or 24% at RM8.7 billion mainly due to revenue contribution from Perstorp its following acquisition in October 2022, higher sales volumes and weakening of Ringgit Malaysia against US Dollar, partially offset by lower product prices. EBITDA was lower by RM220 million or 11% at RM1.7 billion mainly contributed by compressed margin. Profit after tax was lower by RM1.4 billion or 74% at RM484 million in line with lower EBITDA and share of profit from joint ventures and associates.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
PCG Group recorded higher plant utilisation rate of 97% as compared to 72% in the preceding quarter mainly due to lower plant statutory turnaround and maintenance activities resulting in higher production and sales volumes. Revenue was higher by RM449 million or 7% at RM7.0 billion mainly due to higher sales volumes, partially offset by lower product prices. EBITDA and profit after tax for the current quarter was comparable at RM2.0 billion and RM1.9 billion respectively

PCG Group recorded lower plant utilisation rate, production and sales volumes as compared to the preceding quarter mainly due to higher statutory turnaround and maintenance activities. Profit after tax was slightly higher at RM2.1 billion in line with higher EBITDA partially offset by lower share of profit from joint ventures and associates.

PCG Group recorded lower plant utilisation rate, production and sales volumes as compared to the preceding quarter mainly due to higher statutory turnaround and maintenance activities. Profit after tax was comparable at RM2.0 billion in line with higher EBITDA partially offset by lower share of profit from joint ventures and associates
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue increased by RM158 million or 3% at RM5.8 billion largely attributable to higher product prices driven by higher crude oil prices and recovery of global economy. Profit after tax increased by RM107 million or 6% at RM2.0 billion in line with higher share of profit from joint ventures and associates.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue increased by RM839 million or 22% at RM4.7 billion largely attributable to higher product prices. EBITDA for the current quarter was higher by RM546 million or 48% at RM1.7 billion in tandem with improved margin. Profit after tax was higher at RM1.5 billion in line with higher EBITDA and higher net share of profit from joint ventures and associates.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
PCG Group recorded lower plant utilisation rate, production volume and sales volumes as compared to the preceding quarter. Overall average product prices improved from ease of lockdowns post COVID-19 and in tandem with strengthening of crude oil prices. Revenue increased by RM279 million or 9% at RM3.5 billion largely attributable to higher product prices. Profit after tax increased by RM267 million at RM452 million in line with higher EBITDA and lower tax expense.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s plant utilisation rate was at 100%, higher than 94% in the preceding quarter mainly due to better plant performance resulting in higher production and sales volumes. Overall average product prices for the Group declined in line with lower crude oil prices. Revenue decreased by RM713 million or 18% at RM3.2 billion affected by the lower product prices cushioned by higher sales volume.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue decreased by RM343 million or 8% at RM3.9 billion affected by the lower sales volumes and lower product prices. EBITDA for the current quarter was higher by RM14 million or 2% at RM764 million attributable to lower operating expenditure relating to maintenance activities.
INVESTING MALAYSIA –
4 MAR 20 – Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd’s share price jumped as much as 27 sen or 5.09% to RM5.57 so far today after Morgan Stanley upgraded the stock to “overweight” and following the Employees Provident Fund’s (EPF) purchase of more shares in it.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue increased by RM565 million at RM4.2 billion on the back of higher sales volumes and additional revenue stream from newly acquired subsidiary. However, EBITDA was lower by RM165 million at RM750 million mainly due to compressed margin. Profit after tax decreased by RM246 million at RM312 million due to lower EBITDA and foreign exchange loss on the Company shareholder loans pursuant to the divestment of 50% equity interest in a subsidiary.
