BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue declined by 8.8% to RM440.5 million in FY24, compared to RM483.0 million in FY23 due to the weak performance of property and retailing divisions. The Group recorded an LBT of RM220.3 million in FY24 compared to a PBT of RM22.5 million in FY23, mainly attributed by all divisions and the net loss on foreign exchange incurred by the investment holding subsidiaries. Moving forward, the Group’s fast food chain plans to double its store count in Sabah to eight units by 30 June 2025, to achieve greater scale in Borneo. The Group is boosting productivity by adding more ‘Self Order Kiosks’ and upgrading the ‘A&W Ordering App,’ enhancing customer experience and enabling smooth cashless transactions for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a profit before tax (PBT) of RM22.5 million in FY 23 compared to a loss before tax (LBT) of RM18.7 million, mainly due to a one-time gain from the disposal of The Belsfield Hotel in the UK and a fair value gain on an investment in unquoted preference shares. The Group is pursuing several corporate restructuring initiatives. When successfully completed, the Group expects to be on a stronger financial footing to forge ahead with its transformation and achieve better performance. Barring unforeseen circumstances, the Group expects to see improved results.

significantly to RM1.5 million for Q1FY23 compared to RM15.8 million in the preceding quarter.

Loss before tax went down by 79.3% from RM90.2 million in FY2021 to RM18.7 million for FY2022. The Group will continue to implement its corporate restructuring initiatives in the current financial year. On successful completion of these initiatives, the Group expects to be on a strong financial footing to forge further ahead. Barring unforeseen circumstances, the Group expects to see improved results.

BURSA MALAYSIA –

BURSA MALAYSIA –
With the gradual reopening of the local economy by the government since August 2021 and higher consumer spending during the festive holidays, the Group’s revenue jumped from RM58.2 million in Q1FY22 to RM82.0 million in Q2FY22, an increase of 40.9%. This enabled the Group to swing from an LBT of RM6.8 million in the preceding quarter to a PBT of RM180,000 in the current quarter
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group registered a higher revenue of RM58.2 million in Q1FY22 compared to RM44.7 million in Q4FY21. Due to the higher revenue and absence of asset impairment and exchange loss, the Group narrowed its LBT from RM46.4 million last quarter to RM6.8 million in the current quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Loss before tax went down by 51.1% from RM184.3 million in FY2020 to RM90.2 million for FY2021 due to lower operating expenses and the absence of a one-off loss from the derecognition of Laura Ashley UK. We will plan and implement various business strategies, including stepped up digitalisation efforts, to keep up with the rapid changes in the marketplace. The pandemic, while exposing weaknesses, has also managed to create and accelerate many new trends and opportunities. Also, the pent-up demand should augur well for some of our businesses such as hotel and retailing.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The implementation of travel and movement restrictions by the government has disrupted the economy, which saw the total revenue of the Group down by 16.2% compared to the preceding quarter. The higher LBT in the current quarter was mainly due to lower revenue, a net loss on foreign exchange, and losses on derecognition of foreign subsidiaries.
