BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group registered a PBT of RM26.5 million in the current financial period ended 30 June 2024 compared with RM39.6 million in the preceding financial period, a decrease of RM13.0 million or 33.0%. The decreased in PBT was mainly attributed to the decreased in revenue. Going forward, The Group has expanded its customer base by engaging with front-end manufacturers and high-value segments across various supply chains. With foreign investors returning to Malaysia amid positive sentiment, MTAG is enhancing its business development and manufacturing capabilities to support potential projects.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s PBT decreased by RM7.9 million (or 46.9%) from RM16.9 million in the preceding quarter ended 30 September 2022 to RM9.0 million in the current quarter ended 31 December 2022. The decrease in PBT was mainly attributed to decrease in revenue due to decreased customer orders and lower margins from different product sales mix.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s PBT increased by RM6.0 million (or 54.7%) from RM10.9 million in the preceding quarter ended 31 June 2022 to RM16.9 million in the current quarter ended 30 September 2022. The increase in PBT was mainly attributed to increase in revenue due to higher sales from increased customer orders and favourable margins from different product sales mix.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s PBT increased by RM0.7 million (or 6.8%) from RM10.2 million in the preceding quarter ended 31 March 2022 to RM10.9 million in the current quarter ended 30 June 2022. This was mainly due to increased revenue from distribution of adhesive tapes and label stickers.

The Group’s PBT increased by RM3.2 million (or 41.0%) from RM7.7 million in the preceding quarter ended 30 September 2021 to RM10.9 million in the current quarter ended 31 December 2021. The increased in PBT was mainly attributed to increase in revenue and favourable margins from different product sales mix.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s PBT decreased by RM1.2 million (or 13.8%) from RM8.9 million in the preceding quarter ended 30 September 2021 to RM7.7 million in the current quarter ended 30 September 2021. The decrease in PBT was mainly attributed to decrease in revenue.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s FY2021 net profit increased 11.3% or RM3.4 million YoY to RM33.6 million as compared to RM30.2 million in FY2020. The double-digit hike was primarily attributed to strong demand from both our key business segments – converting and distribution. Meanwhile, the execution of our growth plans remains our topmost priority. All this while, we have adopted a prudent approach by progressively adding new machines to avoid sudden substantial increase in depreciation and overhead cost in the absence of corresponding rise in revenue
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s PBT decreased by RM5.8 million (or 42.3%) from RM13.6 million in the preceding quarter ended 30 December 2020 to RM7.9 million in the current quarter ended 31 March 2021. The decrease in profit was mainly attributed to the decrease in revenue and rising cost of raw materials during the pandemic due to supply woes as a result of Covid-led lockdowns and international logistics disruptions eroded the Group’s margins in the first quarter of 2021.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s PBT increased by RM7.83 million (or 119.09%) from RM6.57 million in the preceding quarter ended 30 June 2020 to RM14.40 million in the current quarter ended 30 September 2020. The increase in profit was mainly due to customer ramped up their demand as they recover from operational and supply
chain disruptions during the movement control order.
The Edge –
RHB Retail Research said MTAG Group Bhd has been exhibiting positive signs of a rebound phase, after it recently reached a low of 67 sen. In a trading stocks note today, the reearch house said MTAG crossed above the 21-day SMA line yesterday. A positive bias may appear above 70 sen, with resistance levels pegged at 80 sen and 84.5 sen.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 6.83 million. It was very high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 14.5 million and auditor’s remuneration of 104 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue decreased by RM11.93 million (or 28.68%) from RM41.58 million in the preceding quarter ended 31 March 2020 to RM29.66 million in the current quarter ended 30 June 2020 was mainly due to operational and supply chain disruptions during MCO resulting from the Covid-19 outbreak.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue decreased by RM4.23 million (or 9.23%) from RM45.81 million in the preceding quarter ended 31 December 2019 to RM41.58 million in the current quarter ended 31 March 2020 which was mainly due to revenue from converting business decreasing by RM5 million offset by increase in revenue by RM0.77 million from distribution business.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s adjusted PBT after excluding one-off IPO expenses increased from RM10.91 million in preceding quarter to RM13.53 million in current quarter. This was mainly due to fixed deposit interest income earned from surplus internal generated fund and IPO proceeds, realised gain on foreign currency arising from strengthening RM against other foreign currencies, higher profit margin as well as over provision of expenses.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 7.3 million. It was very high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 14.6 million and auditor’s remuneration of 99 thousands
