BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group pre-tax profit rose 16.0% to RM146.4 million (2Q2022: RM126.2 million). Pretax profit of the three core divisions rose 5.6% to RM128.0 million, underpinned by a 5.8% increase in the Renewable Energy Division to RM114.3 million and a 28.6% improvement in PBT of the Resources Division to RM4.9 million, partially offset by a 5.8% decline in the Packaging Division to RM8.8 million.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group pre-tax profit rose 25.7% sequentially to RM126.3 million (1Q2022: RM100.5 million) mainly due to a 30.2% surge in profit contribution from the Renewable Energy Division to RM108.1 million, a 5.3% increase in profit of the Packaging Division to RM9.3 million and a 28.2% increase in share of profit in joint ventures and associates, partially offset by a 28.3% decline in PBT of the Resources Division to RM3.8 million. Serudong Power recorded RM0.1 million profit in both periods.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group pre-tax profit before share of profit in joint ventures and associate fell 19.0% to RM96.3 million (4Q2021: RM119.0 million) mainly due to a 24.5% decline in profit contribution from the Renewable Energy Division to RM83.0 million and a 17.1% decline in the Packaging Division to RM8.8 million, partially offset by a 20.8% increase in PBT of the Resources Division to RM5.3 million.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group pre-tax profit more than doubled from RM108.0 million to RM241.0 million, primarily due to share of profit in joint venture of RM122.0 million (3Q2021: RM0.1 million loss). Excluding the share of profit in joint venture, the Group registered a 10.1% improvement in pre-tax profit, underpinned by an 11.2% increase in the Renewable Energy Division to RM109.9 million, 121.6% increase in the Resources Division to RM4.4 million and a 41.3% growth in the Packaging Division to RM10.7 million.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group pre-tax profit rose 4.3% to RM108.1 million, primarily due to a 438.9% increase in the Packaging Division to RM7.5 million and higher forex gain, partially offset by a 54.7% decline in the Resources Division to RM2.0 million. Renewable Energy Division’s pre-tax profit was flat quarter-on-quarter at RM98.9 million
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group pre-tax profit declined 25.2% to RM86.9 million (4Q2020: 116.1 million), primarily attributable to a decline in profit contribution from Renewable Energy Division (down 29.8%) and the Packaging Division (down 32.1%), partially offset by an increase in pre-tax profit of the Resources Division and higher gain on foreign exchange.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group pre-tax profit rose 12.0% to RM109.0 million, bolstered by improved profit contributions from all three divisions, partially offset by higher foreign exchange losses. The Power Division registered increase in energy sales due to higher water levels. Revenue of the Resources Division rebounded strongly following the opening up of the economy in Malaysia and the region after 2-3 months of lockdown. Sales contribution from the Packaging & Labels Division was up 30.1% on increased orders from new customers and a gradual recovery of orders from existing customers.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 1.38 million. It was low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 32.5 million and auditor’s remuneration of 565 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group turnover declined 17.8% from RM195.5 million in 4Q2019 to RM160.7 million in 1Q2020 due to the absence of construction revenue. Pre-tax profit in the current quarter was 29.6% lower at RM66.5 million (4Q2019: RM94.5 million). The decline in pre-tax profit was due to the absence of construction profit, partially offset by a RM36.2 million increase in pre-tax income from energy sales to EDL and higher pre-tax profit from the Resources Divisions and the Packaging & Labels Division.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group revenue rose 55.8% from RM125.5 million to RM195.5 million. The increase in revenue was due to an improvement in construction revenue and first-time recognition of energy sales, partially offset by a reduction in revenue contribution from the Resources Division. Group pre-tax profit surged from RM18.9 million to RM94.5 million, underpinned by higher construction profit and maiden income from energy sales, partially offset by lower pre-tax profit contribution from the Resources Division and higher losses at Investment Holding & Others.
