BURSA MALAYSIA –
The group profit before tax (“PBT”) for the financial year ended 31 December 2022 was also higher at RM28.067 million as compared to the preceding year’s PBT of RM10.395 million, attributable mainly due to higher profitability in the hospitality business segment. The Group continues to manage the copper and foreign exchange exposure due to its hedging policies. LME copper prices continue to remain at high levels resulting in significant increase in working capital funding requirements. The Group is optimizing the working capital cycle while working with banks to secure additional financing.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The revenue for the quarter was lower than the preceding quarter mainly due to lower sales. The Group reported a lower pre-tax profit for the quarter of RM0.438 million as compared to preceding quarter’s pre-tax profit of RM5.297 mainly due to lower sales and higher finance costs in the copper business segment.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported a lower pre-tax profit for the quarter of RM5.297 million as compared to preceding quarter’s pre-tax profit of RM7.807 mainly due to higher unrealized fair value loss on foreign exchange derivatives.

The Group reported a lower pre-tax profit for the quarter of RM7.807 million as compared to preceding quarter’s pre-tax profit of RM14.925 mainly due to good performance of the hospitality segment in the preceding quarter due to peak season.

The Group reported a pre-tax profit for the quarter of RM14.925 million as compared to preceding quarter’s pre-tax profit of RM0.350 mainly due to better operating performance in both copper and hospitality business segments.

The Group reported a pre-tax profit for the quarter of RM0.350 million as compared to preceding quarter’s pre-tax loss of RM7.570 mainly due to better operating performance in the hospitality segment.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported a pre-tax loss for the quarter of RM7.570 million as compared to preceding quarter’s pre-tax profit of RM2.690 mainly due to the losses in the hospitality segment arising from intense second wave of COVID-19 in India in the current quarter as well as the negative impact on account of stamp duty and registration fees of prior year relating to Hotel Properties in the hospitality segment.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported a lower pre-tax profit for the quarter of RM2.690 million as compared to preceding quarter’s pre-tax profit of RM6.403 mainly due to fair value loss on foreign exchange derivatives offset partially by exchange translation gain on investment in CCD.

The Group reported a pre-tax profit for the quarter of RM6.403 million as compared to preceding quarter’s pre-tax profit of RM3.021 million mainly due to better operating performance of the hospitality business during the fourth quarter of the year.

The Group reported a pre-tax loss for the quarter of RM11.849 million as compared to preceding quarter’s pre-tax loss of RM5.992 million as a result of a complete shutdown of the hospitality business and a significant reduction in sales volumes in the copper business segment from suspension of business activities due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 3.61 million. It was slightly low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 43.3 million and auditor’s remuneration of 692 thousands

The Group reported a pre-tax profit for the quarter of RM4.567 million as compared to preceding quarter’s pre-tax loss of RM4.534 million mainly attributable to better performance of Hospitality businesses and exchange translation adjustments.
