BURSA MALAYSIA –
The group recorded a 60.2% increase in revenue from RM6,463.1 million in 2021 to RM10,355.2 million and a 16.1% year-on-year increase in Profit After Tax and Minority Interests (“PATMI”) from RM260.4 million to RM302.2 million. The increased in Profit After Tax and Minority Interests (“PATMI”) was in line with higher revenue achieved. MOving Forward, the group will continue to build theirr clean/green energy portfolio as well as their environmental solutions and water management businesses to meet growing demand in Malaysia and elsewhere.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded higher profit before taxation of RM280.7 million in current quarter compared with RM196.6 million in the immediate preceding quarter, primarily attributed to higher contribution from TBP given the higher ACP however, partially offset by impairment loss on carrying value of investment in Al-Hidd IWPP, a 40%-owned foreign associate in Bahrain.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded higher profit before taxation of RM196.6 million in current quarter compared with RM98.2 million in the immediate preceding quarter, primarily attributed to higher contribution from TBP given the higher ACP as well as higher contribution from TBE after plant resumed operation on 14 February 2022 with a slight reduction in capacity due to plant outage caused by Low-Pressure Turbine blade failure.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded lower profit before taxation of RM64.6 million in current quarter compared with RM118.6 million in the immediate preceding quarter, primarily attributed to write-off of SEV’s deferred expense and lower contribution from TBE impacted by lower capacity payment and impairment of assets caused by plant outage. However, these were moderated by higher contribution from TBP given the higher ACP and higher contribution from Alam Flora.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded lower profit before taxation of RM118.6 million in current quarter compared with RM189.7 million in the immediate preceding quarter, primarily attributed to lower contribution from TBP coal plant given the decrease in despatch factor, lower contribution from foreign investments in associates largely from Al-Hidd IWPP due to higher operation and maintenance costs coupled with provision for slow-moving stock made for certain gas plants as plants near the end of Purchase Power Agreement (PPA)
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded higher profit before taxation of RM189.7 million in current quarter compared with RM96.7 million in the immediate preceding quarter, primarily attributed to higher contributions from TBP and TBE coal plants on the back of higher ACP as well as higher contribution from Al-Hidd IWPP, a foreign associate investment given the lower plant outages.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded higher profit before taxation of RM96.7 million in current quarter compared with RM74.3 million in the immediate preceding quarter, primarily attributed to lower administrative and other operating expenses largely related to provision for advisory fees and lower start-up costs at gas plants in line with decrease in despatch factor. However, these were partially offset by higher operation and maintenance costs.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded significantly lower profit before taxation of RM67.6 million in the current quarter compared with RM162.5 million in the immediate preceding quarter given the absence of TBE’s settlement agreement with GE in relation to the losses and damages incurred as a result of failure events which occurred between April 2017 and June 2019 and higher operations and maintenance costs.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded higher profit before taxation of RM162.5 million in the current quarter compared with RM140.2 million in the immediate preceding quarter, primarily attributed to higher contribution from Tanjung Bin Energy Sdn. Bhd. (“TBE”) following the settlement agreement reached with GE Power Services (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in relation to the losses and damages incurred as a result of failure events which occurred at TBE’s plant between April 2017 and June 2019 as well as higher contributions from foreign investment in associates.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a profit before taxation of RM140.2 million in the current quarter compared with 137.7 million in the preceding quarter, primarily due to higher contributions from TBP and TBE coal plants, absence of net impairment loss on carrying value of investment in KEV and absence of share of losses from KEV as a result of provisions made up to the carrying amount of investment in KEV.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 2.09 million. It was low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 185.1 million and auditor’s remuneration of 1266 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded lower profit before taxation of RM137.7 million in the current quarter compared with RM139.0 million in the preceding quarter, primarily due to higherthan-expected share of losses from KEV and net impairment loss on carrying value of investment in KEV moderated by one-off gain from the disposal of the Group’s investment in MAPL.
