BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s earnings before tax improved by 259% from loss before tax of RM19.1 million in FY2022 to profit before tax of RM30.5 million in FY2023. Poultry segment earnings recovered to RM34.4 million contributed by government subsidies and higher margin of export sales. Investment holding segment recorded lower loss due to recognition of fair valuation loss on investment properties. Loss by property development segment narrowed to RM1.7 million due to lower impairment losses. Operations is faced with escalating threats and complexity of bird flu outbreak, declining export volume and continuous volatility in commodity prices due to the prolonged RussiaUkraine war and global interest rate policies. At LTKM, we continue to focus on operational efficiencies and stringent standards of bio-security for sustainability and business competitiveness.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a marginal increase in revenue at RM63.74 million for the current quarter as compared to RM62.64 million in the preceding quarter. The Group’s profit before tax improved by RM0.34 million due mainly to subsidies received from the Government which was partially offset by higher operating expenses.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group posted profit before tax of RM4.70 million for the current quarter as compared to loss before tax RM13.27 million in the preceding quarter. Revenue increased by 5% arising from improved sales volume and average selling prices of eggs as compared to preceding quarter. The Group recorded profit before tax in the current quarter as compared to loss before tax in the previous quarter mainly contributed by subsidies received from Government and losses from fair valuation of properties recognized in the previous quarter but not in the current quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group posted loss before tax of RM13.27 million for the current quarter as compared to profit before tax of RM2.09 million in the preceding quarter. Revenue increased by 8% due to higher sales volume and average selling price of eggs and higher sales of sand. However, poultry segment results deteriorated by 5% despite the improved sales due to escalated costs of major raw materials. Overall the Group’s profit before tax decreased by 734% due mainly to fair valuation loss on properties under the investment holdings segment recorded in the current quarter
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group posted profit before tax of RM2.09 million for the current quarter as compared to loss before tax of RM4.80 million in the preceding quarter. Revenue increased by 29% due to higher sales volume and average selling price of eggs and higher sales of sand. Therefore, the Group recorded profit before tax in tandem with improved selling prices of eggs.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group posted loss before tax of RM4.80 million for the current quarter as compared to RM3.84 million in the preceding quarter. Revenue decreased by 3% due to lower sales volume of eggs and sales of sand as a result of operations disruption from Covid-19. Therefore, the Group recorded higher loss before tax in tandem with lower revenue.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group posted loss before tax of RM3.84 million for the current quarter as compared to RM14.36 million in the preceding quarter. Revenue increased by 13% arising from increase in sales volume and average selling prices of eggs as compared to preceding quarter. The Group recorded lower loss before tax as compared to the previous quarter due mainly to impairment of investment properties and land held for development; and fair value loss recognised on biological assets in the previous quarter.

The Group posted loss before tax of RM14.36 million for the current quarter as compared to RM1.47 million in the preceding quarter. Revenue increased by 6% arising from increase in sales volume and average selling prices of eggs as compared to preceding quarter. The Group recorded higher loss before tax as compared to the previous quarter due mainly to impairment of investment properties and land held for development and fair value loss recognised on biological assets
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group posted loss before tax of RM4.56 million for the current quarter as compared to RM8.06 million in the preceding quarter. Revenue increased by 22% arising from increase in sales volume as compared to preceding quarter. Consequently, Group recorded lower loss before tax as compared to the previous quarter in tandem with higher revenue.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group posted loss before tax of RM8.06 million for the current quarter as compared to RM10.45 million in the preceding quarter. Revenue decreased by 24% due to lower sales recorded by the poultry segment as a result of lower sales volume. However, the Group recorded lower loss before tax as compared to the previous quarter due to higher fair value loss of biological assets recorded in the previous quarter.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 8.66 million. It was very high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 18.6 million and auditor’s remuneration of 204 thousands

The Group posted a loss before tax of RM10.45 million for the current quarter versus profit before tax of RM8.72 million in the preceding quarter. Revenue from poultry segment dropped by 27% due to lower volume of egg sold and lower average egg prices. The Group’s earnings decreased by 220% in tandem with lower revenue, compounded by changes in fair value of biological assets.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group posted a profit before tax of RM8.72 million for the current quarter versus profit before tax of RM10.47 million in the preceding quarter. Revenue from poultry segment decreased by 7% due to drop in egg prices. Poultry segment’s earnings decreased by 19% in tandem with lower revenue. Overall, the Group’s earnings decreased by 17%.
