BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group posted a profit before tax of RM102 million in FY2022 as compared to RM52.5 million in FY2021 on the back of a RM731 million revenues, contributed entirely from the furniture division.Moving Forward, the Group will continue strengthening their market position through new product development, innovation and adoption of new technologies to enhance operational processes, besides deploying pertinent measures to manage risk exposures which the Group faces.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s turnover increased marginally by 1.93% as compared to the immediate preceding quarter, mainly due to increase in the sales volume of panel products by 36% offset by the lower sales generated in bedroom, dining and sofa sets. Despite the meagre growth in revenue, the Group’s profit before tax dipped 14.61% as compared to the immediate preceding quarter, mainly due to the USD exchange loss of RM6.5 million in the current quarter
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s turnover declined by 20.02% as compared to the immediate preceding quarter, mainly due to lower sales volume of all the Group’s products in the current quarter. Despite the significant drop in revenue of 20%, the Group’s profit before tax recorded an increase of 16.12% mainly due to the continued appreciation of USD against RM in the current quarter by 3.39%.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Despite the significant drop in revenue of 23% and implementation of the minimum wage of RM1,500 which commenced in May 2022, the Group’s profit before tax only contracted by 6.14%. This was mainly due to the continued appreciation of USD against RM in second quarter 2022 by 3.42%. (2nd qtr. 2022: 4.3289, 1st qtr. 2022: 4.1859).
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The lower administrative expenses for the current quarter as compared to preceding which were largely due to recruitment fee of RM5.6 million recognized in Quarter 4, 2021 led to an increase of 54.33% in the Group’s profit before tax for the quarter under review. The average USD conversion rate was constant as compared to that of the immediate preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The operation for the current quarter resumed to normalcy after all workers and staff were fully vaccinated at end of September 2021. In that respect, the Group’s turnover grew 110.90% as compared to the immediate preceding quarter. The higher turnover coupled with the positive fair value changes of biological asset of RM1.5 million in the current quarter had resulted the Group’s profit before tax to increase by 115.20%. The average USD conversion rate was rather constant compared to third quarter this year.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue for the current quarter increased substantially by 113.72% as compared to the immediate preceding quarter because the Group resumed full operation in the current quarter as opposed to the second quarter where production and shipment were halted close to six (6) weeks. Due to higher sales in the current quarter and improved in production efficiency which generated a higher gross margin, the Group’s profit before tax recorded 164% higher than that of the immediate preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue for the current quarter decreased by 31.13% compared to the immediate preceding quarter mainly due to the longer MCO period in the second quarter, where production and shipments were halted. Due to lower sales in the current quarter, the Group’s profit before tax recorded 45.69% lower than that of the immediate preceding quarter, despite the favourable US Dollar against RM, which appreciated by 3.51% in the current period under review (2nd quarter: 4.2958; 1st quarter 4.1500).
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 14.2 million. It was very high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 99.7 million and auditor’s remuneration of 198 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue in the current quarter decreased by 9.62% compared to the immediate preceding quarter mainly due to the implementation of the Movement Control Order (“MCO”) by the Malaysian Government to combat the spread of the Covid-19 on 18 March 2020. This invariably impacted the Group’s operations for close to two (2) weeks during the quarter under review as production operations and deliveries were significantly curtailed
