BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded loss before tax of RM2.239 million compared to the loss before tax of RM4.538 million for the preceding quarter. Lower loss recorded in current quarter was mainly due to one off event arising from the impairment and loss on disposal of assets under Indonesia, allowance for slow moving inventories and provision of expected credit loss for the Group during the preceding period under review.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded loss before tax of RM3.290 million compared to the profit before tax of RM0.099 million for the preceding quarter. Higher loss recorded in current quarter was mainly due to higher manufacturing cost and operating expenses incurred.

The Group recorded profit before tax of RM0.099 million compared to the loss before tax of RM2.603 million for the preceding quarter. Higher profit recorded in current quarter was in tandem with the increase in revenue for both divisions in Malaysia.

The Group recorded loss before tax of RM2.603 million compared to the loss before tax of RM8.247 million for the preceding quarter. Higher loss recorded in preceding quarter was mainly due to amortization of goodwill and higher operational costs incurred.

The Group recorded loss before tax of RM2.287 million compared to the loss before tax of RM2.528 million for the preceding quarter. A higher loss before tax was mainly due to the mobilization cost incurred for the expansion of face mask division.
The Star –
KomarkcorpBhd’s subsidiary, Komark Mask (M) Sdn Bhd, has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Poland-based Robayu Corp for a total of 48 million pieces of three-ply medical grade masks valued at US$4.8mil (RM19.6mil). The definitive agreement and purchase order is expected to be finalised and confirmed within 60 days, with the initial delivery slated to commence in the third quarter of this year.

Komarkcorp plans to become the country’s largest face mask manufacturer by the middle of the year, after subsidiary Komark Mask (M) Sdn Bhd received full FDA and Ce certification for its suite of medical masks, which will allow it to export globally

JF Apex Research expects Komarkcorp Bhd to be among the stocks to watch on Wednesday. Komarkcorp has received its ISO accreditation from the regulators, confirming its premises, facilities and manufacturing standards are in accordance with the requirements of the International Quality Management System for Medical Devices. The group will now be a fully accredited manufacturer of disposable surgical face masks, and will look to accelerate its rollout plan to increase production and launch its own brand.

The Group recorded a revenue of RM8.680 million as compared to RM9.685 million for the preceding quarter, representing a decrease of RM1.005 million or 10.4%. The decrease in revenue was due to the reduction of orders by customers following the outbreak of Covid 19 pandemic.

REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 2.84 million. It was slightly high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 10.9 million and auditor’s remuneration of 210 thousands

The Group recorded loss before tax of RM3,296 million compared to the loss before tax of RM3,005 million for the preceding quarter. A marginally higher loss before tax was mainly due to higher realized and unrealized foreign currency exchange loss.
