BURSA MALAYSIA –
The profitability of the Group was also affected by higher finance cost as well as setup cost incurred for our new manufacturing plants, resulting in profit before tax (“PBT”) for the financial year under review coming in at RM38.0 million versus RM72.7 million in FY2022. Looking ahead, the Group expects the business environment to remain arduous, with continued uncertainties in global markets, geopolitical conflicts, inflationary pressures and weak consumer sentiments.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s reported revenue of RM82.1 million and PBT of RM11.9 million, representing a dropped of 8.2% in revenue and 18.9 % in PBT as compared to Q1 FY2023. The division reported adverse results current quarter as compared to Q1 FY2023 mainly due slowing of the semiconductor market, softened new orders and high set up cost for new manufacturing plant, due to impact from inflation which affected market demand, coupled with global shortage of medicine and essential raw material.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s reported revenue of RM89.4 million and PBT of RM14.7 million, representing a dropped of 6.1% in revenue and 5.9 % in PBT as compared to Q4 FY2022. The manufacturing division reported underperformed oil & gas business segments, softened new orders and high set up cost for new manufacturing plant which yet to generate revenue. The property division reported a decrease in performance due to low sales conversion for
current quarter. The pharmaceutical & healthcare division reported increase in operating cost.
The Star –
Share price of Kobay Technology Bhd extended its gains at midday on Thursday, rising to a high of RM2.37 despite a query from Bursa Malaysia Securities. The company replied to Bursa Securities it was not aware of the factors for the sharp rise in the price and volume of the shares on Wednesday. Kobay said there was no corporate development relating to the group’s business and affairs that has not been previously announced that may account for the trading activity including those in the stage of negotiation/discussion.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s reported revenue of RM35.2 million, at par with preceding quarter. However, profit before tax reported at 23% higher than preceding quarter mainly attributed by better performance from its manufacturing division.
The Edge –
Technology and manufacturing counters were among the top gainers on Bursa Malaysia today, as investors anticipate higher demand for computer-related products and technology amid global lockdown policies. Several other technology and manufacturing counters were also among top gainers, including precision engineering company Kobay Technology Bhd (up 72 sen or 16.6%). The rise in technology stocks was reflected in the Bursa Malaysia Technology Index, which gained 2.15 points or 2.85% to 75.44.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 2.54 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 51.7 million and auditor’s remuneration of 201 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Manufacturing division reported revenue of RM48.12 million and profit before tax of RM11.55 million, representing a 13.3% and 31.4% increase as compared to preceding quarter. The favorable performance mainly due to most of the manufacturing activities were resumed in full operation during Qtr 4 FY2020.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue and profit before tax decreased by 3.7% and 10.7% respectively compared to Q2 FY2020, as a result of movement control orders during the COVID19 pandemic, which affected the Group’s production and delivery schedule.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported a revenue of RM49.93 million and profit before tax of RM9.86 million for current quarter, compared to revenue of RM50.94 million and profit before tax of RM6.63 million in Q1 FY2020. The favorable performance in manufacturing division was offset by the decline in revenue and losses recorded by its property development division.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 2.18 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 42.6 million and auditor’s remuneration of 203 thousands
