BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group suffered loss before tax of RM3.70 million and loss after tax of RM7.29 million in FY2022 against profit before tax of RM0.97 million and loss after tax of RM0.73 million in FY2021. This was mainly due to the impairment of trade receivable (“Debt”) and contract asset (“Contract Asset”) totaling RM43.52 million in relation to a hospital project which the Group completed in the last quarter of year 2020. Moving forward, as the rising cost of raw materials, higher energycosts and commodity prices and shortage of workers will continue to weigh on the operation and profitability. The Group has taken measures such as placement of advance bulk purchase orders to lock in raw materials supply at a better bulk purchase price, adoption of IBS construction, whenever possible, to reduce reliance on labour, and negotiate with suppliers for early payment discount.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue recorded in Q3 FY2022 was higher compared to Q2 FY2022, mainly attributable to stronger revenue achieved by the construction division on higher execution of its new projects. Consequently, the Group recorded a better PBT by 78.8% in Q3 FY2022.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue recorded in the current quarter is 13.7% lower compared to the preceding quarter as all the business divisions, except for property development division, achieved lower revenue in the current quarter. Profit before and after tax is higher in the current quarter by RM3.43 million (38.0%) and RM4.32 million (90.5%) compared to preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue recorded in Q2 FY2020 of RM94.00 million was RM151.33 million or 61.7% lower compared to Q1 FY2020. The decline was mainly due to low business activities in Q2 FY2020. While the Group’s revenue streams had been severely reduced during Q2 FY2020, the Group continued to incur substantially the same amount of fixed and recurring expenses such as depreciation, payroll and rental expenses, resulted in the decline in GP from RM23.37 million in Q1 FY2020 to RM0.08 million in Q2 FY2020.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue and gross profit recorded in the current quarter was lower compared to the preceding quarter as all the Group’s operations have been shut down during the MCO period, except for the minimum permitted critical works such as slope protection and delivery of products for permitted critical works. Selling and administrative expenses were lower in the current quarter mainly due to lower impairment loss on investment properties and fixed assets written off. Profit before and after tax was lower by 60.0% and 60.5% respectively compared to preceding quarter, due to lower GP achieved in the current period
