    The Group reported a better PBT of RM29.6 million for the financial year compared with RM22.9 million last year, representing an increase of RM6.7 million or 29%. Malaysia Operation managed to improve efficiency with implementation
    of various manufacturing systems and inventory management which to certain extent had improved its profitability. Vietnam Operation continued its expansion plans during the financial year under review and incurred initial set up costs which impacted its PBT. In view of global economic challenges and uncertainties, the Group will continue to review and implement cost reduction measures in tandem with the level of sales coupled with management efforts to improve the manufacturing systems for higher productivity, greater efficiency and better inventory management to reduce cycle time which will translate into overall savings in manufacturing costs.

There was also a one-off gain arising from the waiver of loan granted to a subsidiary by a non-controlling interest amounting to RM1.2 million being recognised in the immediate preceding 3 rd quarter of the financial year.
