BURSA MALAYSIA –
For the financial year ended 30 June 2024, the Group recorded revenue of RM3,111 million and PBT of RM662 million as compared with revenue of RM3,416 million and PBT of RM512 million for the corresponding period of FY2023. Despite the lower revenue, the Group recorded higher PBT in the current period primarily attributable to the favourable sales mix of better margin motorcycle models, a RM25 million insurance compensation received for the disruption caused by flood in the motorcycle business during the third quarter of FY2022 and an RM18.7 million gain from the disposal of entire equity interest in HCB. Moving Forward,The Group will continue its focus on products, market position and cost to further improve the performance. For our tiles sector, the Group has now committed to building a new plant with production expected to begin in 2026.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax increased by 36% y-o-y to RM512 million in FY2023 from RM377 million in FY2022. The higher revenue and PBT in FY2023 were contributed by higher sales of motorcycles. The Group has adopted a more prudent inventory management approach forCompletely Knocked Down (CKD) parts of motorcycles and key raw materials for products across its businesses. Management has diversified the supply sources for its key materials and continued to develop alternate materials through research and development. Operational excellence, flexibility and agility in production processes are key focus areas to mitigate any unforeseen disruptions and deliver structural cost savings
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded PBT of RM6 million as compared with PBT of RM61 million for the preceding quarter. The lower PBT compared with the preceding quarter was due to lower sales across all product segments as there was longer lockdown period imposed by MCO in the quarter under review as compared with the preceding quarter. The lower PBT compared with the preceding quarter was also partly due to share of loss in associated companies in the quarter under review.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group (excluding Discontinued Operations) recorded PBT of RM61 million as compared with PBT of RM162 million for the preceding quarter. The lower PBT for the quarter under review as compared with the preceding quarter was due to lower sales across all product segments as impacted by MCO imposed in the month of June during the quarter under review, coupled with lower profit contribution from associated companies.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded PBT of RM162 million as compared with PBT of RM156 million for the preceding quarter. The improvement in PBT from the preceding quarter was primarily driven by higher sales volume, cost reduction, coupled with higher share of profits from associated companies.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group (excluding Discontinued Operations) recorded PBT of RM93 million as compared with loss before taxation of RM11 million for the preceding quarter. The improvement in PBT from the preceding quarter was attributable to the gradual recovery of businesses and operations of some product segments from the adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with higher profit contribution from an associated company.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 0.45 million. It was low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 205.9 million and auditor’s remuneration of 521 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group (excluding discontinued operations) recorded LBT of RM11 million as compared with PBT of RM99 million for the preceding quarter. The LBT was due to lower sales across all product segments as impacted byy the MCO, coupled with share of loss in associated companies in the quarter under review.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded PBT of RM99 million for the current quarter as compared with RM127 million for the preceding quarter. The lower PBT was due to lower sales across all product segments as impacted by the MCO, couple with lower profit contribution from an associated company.
