The Edge –
Technology and manufacturing counters were among the top gainers on Bursa Malaysia today, as investors anticipate higher demand for computer-related products and technology amid global lockdown policies. Several other technology and manufacturing counters were also among top gainers, including Kumpulan H & L High Tech Bhd (up 42 sen or 29.6% at RM1.84). The rise in technology stocks was reflected in the Bursa Malaysia Technology Index, which gained 2.15 points or 2.85% to 75.44.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a turnaround from pre-tax loss RM0.19 million to pre-tax profit of RM1.39 million mainly due to increase of turnover by 49.2% and increase in other income of RM0.52 million. The export business significantly affected in March 2020 has been resumed in May 2020 during the Restricted Movement Control Order period .
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the group’s revenue dropped by 37% to RM3.223 million while incurred a pre-tax loss of RM0.190 million from a pre-tax profit of RM0.463 million mainly due to lower revenue of RM1.894 million despite a marginal reduction of operating expenses.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue maintain at RM5.1 mil mainly despite a weaker demand for Manufacturing segment but pre-tax profit lowered to RM0.478 mil from RM0.811 mil as a results of lower gross profit margin.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 1.2 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 6.3 million and auditor’s remuneration of 112 thousands
