BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group PBT increased by 85% to RM595 million in FYE2022, primarily due to strong post-COVID recovery, gradual recovery for the on-trade business, and improved revenue and cost management. Going Forward, The group will remain responsive to the volatile business environment and new market realities, with a focus on delivering our EverGreen strategy, in order to continue to invest behind our brands and capabilities, as well as future-proof the business to unlock efficiencies and reinvest in growth drivers.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group revenue increased by 12%, mainly due to recovery of the on-trade business, better product mix and price adjustment implemented on selected products effective 1 August 2022. As a result, Group PBT increased by 23%.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group PBT grew 25% mainly due to revenue growth and lower marketing spend as compared to Q4 2021 where the spend was imposed due to Chinese New Year festive activation. In addition, the continuous focus on cost management initiatives by the Group also contributed to the profit growth in Q1 2022.

Group revenue increased significantly by 78% against the preceding quarter, mainly attributed to higher sales driven by festive seasons and the early sell-in for Chinese New Year 2022. In comparison, the improved performance in Q4 vs Q3 was also attributed to the 11 weeks of brewery suspension in Q3 in line with the lockdown imposed by the Government. Group PBT increased by 85% versus the preceding quarter driven by revenue growth and effective cost management.

Group PBT increased by 103% against the preceding quarter principally driven by revenue growth from effective commercial execution, optimisation of marketing spend, initiatives from right-sizing of the organisation and effective cost management. Group revenue increased by 12% against the preceding quarter, mainly attributed to higher sales volume.

Group revenue declined by 36% against the preceding quarter, mainly due to higher sales in Q1 2021 which was driven by the Chinese New Year festive period and lower sales in June 2021 as a result of the brewery suspension of operations to comply with the full lockdown imposed by Government. Correspondingly, Group PBT declined by 66% to RM33.15 million against RM96.65 million in the preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group revenue increased by 6% against the preceding quarter mainly driven by Chinese New Year sales and easing of restriction in March 2021. PBT increased by 43% against the preceding quarter mainly due to higher revenue growth, effective cost management and absence of the one-off restructuring cost which was provided in Q4 2020.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The substantial decline in the Group performance for the second quarter ended 30 June 2020 versus the preceding quarter was mainly attributed to the suspension of operations of the brewery for the entire month of April up to 3 May 2020. This was despite the gradual improvement in the business activities when sales and distribution activities were ramped up during the months of May and June 2020 following the easing of the movement restrictions.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 3.31 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 109.4 million and auditor’s remuneration of 198 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group’s revenue and PBT at RM515.89 million and RM74.85 million respectively for the current quarter, compared to revenue and PBT of RM680.00 million and RM120.13 million respectively in preceding quarter. Group revenue and PBT decreased principally due to higher sales in the previous quarter driven by a successful year-end festive season; Early sell-in for Chinese New Year this year; and Lower sales in March 2020 due to the suspension of operations of the MCO.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group revenue was RM680.0 million as compared to RM6.02.5 million in Q3 2019 ,driven by robust sales performance of the core brands and new product launches. . However, Group PBT was RM120.1 million as compared to RM136.1 million in Q3 2019 mainly due to higher commercial spend incurred for pre-Chinese New Year festive activation.
