BURSA MALAYSIA –
Total revenue and LAT of the Group for the current financial quarter ended 31 December 2022 (“4Q22”) were RM 175.89 million and RM 8.10 million respectively as compared to the revenue and LAT of the Group for the preceding financial quarter ended at 30 September 2022 (“3Q22”) of RM 169.79 million and RM 4.59 million respectively. Better LAT in 3Q22 was mainly due to gain on disposal of a subsidiary.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Total revenue and LAT of the Group for the current financial quarter ended 30 September 2022 (“3Q22”) were RM 169.79 million and RM 4.59 million respectively as compared to the revenue and LAT of the Group for the preceding financial quarter ended at 30 June 2022 (“2Q22”) of RM 187.20 million and RM 10.58 million respectively. The improved LAT in current quarter was mainly due to gain on disposal of a subsidiary.

Total revenue and LAT of the Group for the current financial quarter ended 30 June 2022 (“2Q22”) were RM 187.20 million and RM 10.58 million respectively as compared to the revenue and LAT of the Group for the preceding financial quarter ended at 31 March 2022 (“1Q22”) of RM 102.34 million and RM 19.98 million respectively. The LAT in current quarter was mainly due to fair value loss on other quoted investment.

Total revenue and LAT of the Group for the current financial quarter ended 31 March 2022 were RM 102.34 million and RM 19.98 million respectively as compared to the revenue and LAT of the Group for the preceding financial quarter ended at 31 December 2021 of RM 160.61 million and RM 104.02 million respectively. The LAT in current quarter was mainly due to fair value loss on other quoted investment.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Total revenue and PAT of the Group for the current financial quarter ended 31 March 2021 (“1Q21”) were RM142.71 million and RM18.84 million respectively as compared to the revenue and LAT of the Group for the preceding financial quarter ended at 31 December 2020 (“4Q20”) of RM163.83 million and RM17.25 million respectively. The PAT in current quarter was mainly due to the gain on disposal of shareholding in an associate, mitigated by the fair value loss in other quoted investment
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Total revenue and LAT of the Group for the current financial quarter ended 31 December 2020 (“4Q20”) were RM163.83 million and RM17.25 million respectively as compared to the revenue and LAT of the Group for the preceding financial quarter ended at 30 September 2020 (“3Q20”) of RM162.67 million and RM7.75 million respectively. The higher LAT in the current quarter was mainly due to increase in staff costs and sales and marketing expenses coupled with the increase in share of losses in associate companies.

Green Packet Bhd’s shareholders have approved the acquisition of Singapore-based electronic know-your-customer (e-KYC) firm Xendity Pte Ltd for US$10 million (RM40.59 million).

Green Packet Bhd has completed the acquisition process of the entire equity interest in Xendity Pte Ltd after securing the go-ahead from its shareholders. The acquisition is strategic for Green Packet as Xendity’s e-Know Your Customer (e-KYC) software will complement Green Packet’s enterprise products and solutions. This acquisition is expected to boost the revenue and earnings of Green Packet’s digital operations.

Green Packet Bhd is among the stocks to watch on Friday, according to JF Apex Research. A tech fund promoted by Green Packet is funding the majority shareholders of Nuglobal Ventures Sdn Bhd which is keen on taking over Khazanah Nasional Bhd’s semiconductor fabricating company SilTerra Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

Telecommunications and technology company Green Packet Bhd is showing signs of green shoots, and is optimistic of earnings turnaround by 2021, said a CGS-CIMB research report. The research unit noted that Green Packet had inked an exclusive 10-year agreement in August with China’s Tencent to exclusively offer its cloud services in Malaysia. According to global consulting and research firm, Analysys Mason, Malaysia’s cloud market is set to deliver 13% revenue compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2020 to 2024.

Total revenue and LAT of the Group for the current financial quarter ended 30 June 2020 (“2Q20”) were RM144.99 million and RM13.28 million respectively as compared to the previous preceeding financial quarter of RM147.05 million and RM35.31 million respectively. The substantial improvement in LAT in the current quarter was mainly due to fair value gain from a quoted investment.

On Aug 18, Green Packet Bhd will be hosting a digital and cloud innovation programme “Thrive With Digital”, showcasing new digital technologies on property technology and fintech. It will also feature special addresses from key government officials as well as Green Packet’s cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) technology partners.

The revenue and LAT of the Group for 1Q2020 were RM147.05 million and RM35.31 million as compared to the revenue and LAT of the Group for 4Q2019 of RM201.73 million and RM27.60 million. The LAT in the current quarter was mainly due to fair value loss from a quoted investment while the LAT in the preceding quarter was mainly due to impairments made on intangible assets.
