BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group PBT decreased by RM43.78 million to RM51.29 million, compared with RM95.07 million in FYE2022 mainly due to lower contributions from Plantation division primarily due to lower prices realised for CPO and CPKO, higher operational (especially fertiliser prices) and rehabilitation costs associated with the estates acquired in the previous financial year. Despite global challenges such as weakening global trade, geopolitical tensions, and elevated price pressures, the economic outlook for Malaysia remains positive
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Although production and trading of security division saw a 6.2% decrease in revenue this quarter, its pre-tax profit of RM4.8 million was 13.5% orRM0.6 million higher than the previous quarter, primarily due to a favourable sales mix. The oil palm production and processing saw an increase in its current quarter revenue by RM4.7 million and its pre-tax profit by RM7.0 million,largely driven by higher sales price of CPO.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue from this division for the current quarter of RM43.0 million was RM20.9 million or 32.7% lower than thepreceding quarter, mainly due to lower sales volume and price of CPO and CPKO. In line with lower revenue, thepretax profit for the division decreased from RM32.0 million to RM14.8 million in the current quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue from production of security and confidential documents decreased by RM7.4 million or 36.2% ascompared to preceding quarter primarily due to lower sales volume for all products. On the back of decrease inrevenue coupled with lower reversal of provision for warranty, the division recorded a pre-tax loss of RM0.9 millionin the current quarter as compared to RM2.5 million pre-tax profit recorded in preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue from this division for the current quarter of RM26.2 million was consistent with preceding quarter withminimal decrease of 3.6%. However, the pretax profit for the division increased by RM7.2 million mainly due tohigher margin resulted from higher selling price of oil palm products and lower depreciation charged during thecurrent quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue from this segment for the current quarter of RM27.0 million was RM3.6 million or 15.3% higher than the preceding quarter, mainly due to higher selling price of CPO and higher quantity of CPKO.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 2.07 million. It was slightly low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 33.8 million and auditor’s remuneration of 365 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue from production of security and confidential documents decreased by RM13.0 million or 37.9% as compared to preceding quarter mainly due to lower sales volume during the Movement Control Order.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue from production of security and confidential documents was consistent as compared to preceding quarter with minimal increase of RM0.9 million or 2.6%. In line with higher revenue coupled with favourable sales mix, a pretax profit of RM8.6 million was posted, doubled over the preceding quarter. Revenue from oil palm produuction segment for the current quarter of RM34.8 million was RM8.6 million or 32.9% higher than the preceding quarter, mainly due to higher sales volume of CPKO and Palm Kernel.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue from this segment for the current quarter of RM26.2 million was RM8.2 million or 45.8% higher than the preceding quarter, mainly due to higher sales volume and price of CPO. Despite this, minimal increment of RM0.2 million on the profit before tax was recorded mainly due to higher operational cost and higher provision for doubtful debts.
