BURSA MALAYSIA –
Continuing operations recorded a loss before taxation of RM2.99 million compared to a loss of RM3.51 million in prior year. Losses were lower this year due to net foreign exchange gains that helped to bolster Group bottomline. Having exited the manufacturing businesses, the Group is now positioned to grow its existing businesses and the smart devices business.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group made a loss before taxation from continuing operations of RM0.41 million compared to profit before tax of RM0.72 million for the preceding quarter ended 30 June 2022. Loss for the quarter included a non-cash expense related to employee share options vested of about RM1.43 million that was partly offset by unrealised foreign exchange gain of RM1.84 million in the current quarter under review.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group made a net profit before taxation from continuing operations of RM0.72 million compared to a loss of RM0.19 million for the preceding quarter ended 31 March 2022. The profit was mainly due to the unrealised foreign exchange gain recorded by the oil bunkering business segment.

The Group made a net loss of RM1.71 million compared to loss of RM1.48 million for the prior quarter ended 31 December 2021. The loss from the prior quarter ended 31 December 2021 included the realisation of loss on disposal of Techfast Precision Sdn Bhd of RM3.04 million.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group made loss before taxation from continuing operations of RM1.34 million compared to loss of RM2.61 million for the prior quarter ended 30 September 2021. Loss for the current quarter was mainly due to higher overhead operating expenses and professional fees in relation to the corporate exercises undertaken by the Company.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group made loss before taxation from continuing operations of RM2.61 million compared to a profit before taxation (“PBT”) of RM0.58 million. Loss for the current quarter was mainly due to one-off impairment of investment in TPSB that was now classified as non-current assets held-for-sale of about RM3.11 million in the current quarter partially offset by the share of results of associate company and PBT from rubber sheets and oil bunkering businesses.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group made a PBT of RM1.33 million, which was 32.2% higher than preceding quarter ended 31 March 2020. Higher PBT despite lower sales in self-clinching fastener segment was mainly due to improvement in gross profit margins that normalized after provision for obsolete stock in last quarter. Results improved in rubber sheets and epoxy material segment due to higher sales turnover to China and Taiwan and lower operating costs.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Rubber sheets and epoxy material segment recorded a PBT of RM0.96 million on sales revenue of RM4.32 million, which was lower than PBT of RM1.25 million on sales revenue of RM5.58 million recorded in the previous quarter ended 31 December 2019. Results were lower mainly due to lower sales.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
SCF segment recorded revenue of RM2.81 million for the current quarter which was higher than RM2.59 million in previous quarter ended 31 December 2019. PBT for the SCF segment for the current quarter of RM0.10 million was lower than RM0.21 million for the previous quarter. PBT increase was due to product mix sold with lower profit margins. PBT was also affected by a much reduced sales in March and provision for obsolete stocks, resulting in overall lower gross profit margin.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 2.62 million. It was high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 5.9 million and auditor’s remuneration of 79 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group made a PBT of RM1.28 million, which was 30.6% lower than PBT of RM1.85 million for the preceding quarter ended 30 September 2019. PBT of the SCF segment were impacted by delays in receiving raw materials to fulfill orders for an overseas project coupled with lower domestic sales. The improvement in gross profit margin of rubber sheets and epoxy material segment was due to second sourcing initiatives.
