BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s profit before tax grew by 37.6% to RM624.7 million from RM454.1 million in FY2022. Excluding one-off non-operating items – mainly from fair value gain on the revaluation of equity interest in Cocoaland before the privatisation exercise – the Group’s PBT grew by 21.3%. This result was also attributed to a concerted focus on margin improvement, operational excellence, supply chain management and sustainability initiatives. Our focus in FY2024, as in FY2023, will be on strengthening our existing brands. We are excited about the launch of BORNEO SPRINGS. We will continue to rein in our costs focusing on digitalisation to reduce manual labour and the use of natural resources while enhancing productivity.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group revenue for the quarter grew 7.1% to RM1,218.5 million (Q4 FY2022: RM1,137.6 million) compared to preceding Q4 FY2022, mainly contributed by higher festive sales and exports from F&B Malaysia and additional Cocoaland contribution. Group profit before tax increased to RM222.4 million (Q4 FY2022: RM119.5 million) compared to preceding Q4 FY2022 mainly due to one-off non-operating items. Excluding one-off non-operating items, the adjusted Group profit before tax increased by 8.6% to RM128.2 million due to higher revenue.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group profit before tax improved by 4.5% to RM119.5 million (Q3 FY2022: RM114.4 million) against preceding 3rd quarter mainly due to improved margins from F&B Thailand, offset by rising input costs and higher operational expenses. Excluding one-off non-operating items, the Group profit before tax increased by 6.5% to RM118.0 million.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group profit before tax improved by 2.2% to RM114.4 million (Q2 FY2022: RM112.0 million) due to one-off non-operating items. Excluding one-off non-operating items, the Group profit before tax is flat against preceding quarter mainly due to higher Hari Raya festive sales for F&B Malaysia and price increase efforts which mitigated the impact of lower earnings from F&B Thailand.
