BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a pre-tax loss of RM73.13 million in the current quarter ended 31 December 2022 compared with a pre-tax profit of RM249.96 million in the preceding quarter ended 30 September 2022, mainly due to lower profit from the Automotive and Banking sectors, as well as higher losses from Postal and Services sectors. In addition, the Group had recognised impairment loss of assets in certain subsidiary companies
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a higher pre-tax profit of RM249.96 million in the current quarter ended 30 September 2022 compared with a pre-tax profit of RM229.16 million in the preceding quarter ended 30 June 2022, mainly due to higher profit from the Automotive as well as Aerospace and Defence sectors. In the preceding quarter, the Group recognised the income arising from the disposal of a former subsidiary company amounting to RM119.51 million
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a higher pre-tax profit of RM229.16 million in the current quarter compared with a pre-tax profit of RM4.00 million in the preceding quarter, mainly due to higher profit from the Automotive sector and lower loss from the Postal sector. In addition, the Group recognised the income arising from the disposal of a former subsidiary company amounting to RM119.51 million under other income.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a lower pre-tax profit of RM4.00 million in the current quarter ended 31 March 2022 compared with a pre-tax profit of RM153.37 million in the preceding quarter ended 31 December 2021, mainly due to lower profit from the Automotive sector and was partially mitigated by the lower loss from the Postal sector.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Compared with a pre-tax loss of RM201.42 million in the preceding quarter ended 30 September 2021, the Group recorded a pre-tax profit of RM153.37 million in the current quarter ended 31 December 2021 mainly contributed by better performance from Automotive companies.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Compared with a pre-tax loss of RM279.53 million in the preceding quarter ended 30 June 2021, the Group recorded a lower pre-tax loss of RM201.42 million in the current quarter ended 30 September 2021. The postal subsidiary company has narrowed down its loss in the current quarter and thus reduced the Group’s loss.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group suffered a pre-tax loss of RM279.53 million in the current quarter ended 30 June 2021 compared with a pre-tax profit of RM36.31 million in the preceding quarter ended 31 March 2021. This is mainly attributable to the poor performance of the major operating companies which were badly affected by the impact of nationwide Movement Control Order imposed in May and June 2021 and the impairment loss of certain property, plant and equipment.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group achieved a pre-tax profit of RM36.31 million in the current quarter ended 31 March 2021 compared with a pre-tax profit of RM948.78 million in the preceding quarter ended 31 December 2020. Included in the preceding quarter’s results was exceptional gains on disposals of property assets and investments net of impairment loss of goodwill/intangible assets in certain subsidiary companies.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a pre-tax loss of RM365.80 million in the current quarter ended 30 June 2020 compared with a pre-tax loss of RM185.30 million in the preceding quarter . The higher losses was mainly due to the lower revenue caused by MCO lockdown, recognition of modification loss arising from the financing moratorium and also the impairment loss of certain property, plant and equipment.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a pre-tax loss of RM185.30 million in the current financial quarter ended 31 March 2020 compared with a pre-tax profit of RM194.72 million in the preceding quarter ended 31 December 2019. The preceding quarter’s results included the exceptional gain on disposal of Alam Flora Sdn. Bhd. (a former subsidiary company) and impairment losses of goodwill in certain subsidiary companies.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 3.17 million. It was low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 1971.9 million and auditor’s remuneration of 4546 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group achieved a pre-tax profit of RM194.72 million in the current quarter compared with pre-tax profit of RM131.02 million in the preceding quarter ended 30 September 2019. Included in the current quarter’s results is the exceptional gain on disposal of Alam Flora Sdn. Bhd. and impairment loss of goodwill in certain subsidiary companies.
