DNeX is among the stocks to watch on Monday, according to JF Apex Research. DNeX has received the approval from its shareholders to acquire an additional 60% stake in Ping Petroleum Ltd for US$78mil (RM314.3mil). The group said upon completion of the exercise, the company will own a 90% stake in Ping.
The Edge –
DNeX said yesterday in a Bursa Malaysia filing that the consortium had signed the conditional share sale and purchase agreement with Khazanah for SilTerra Malaysia Sdn Bhd. Today, DNeX said in a bourse filing that the 16.6 million new shares from the warrant exercise will be listed tomorrow and that following the issuance of the new shares, the company’s latest issued share capital stands at 2.24 billion shares.

Dagang NeXchange Bhd, fresh from winning the bid from Khazanah Nasional Bhd for its stake in loss-making wafer foundry SilTerra Malaysia Sdn Bhd last month, today announced that its unit has been granted an extension contract for a period of three years to operate the National Single Window for trade facilitation.

A consortium led by Dagang NeXchange Bhd has won the bid to acquire semiconductor fabricating company SilTerra Malaysia Sdn Bhd from Khazanah Nasional Bhd. DNeX said Khazanah has informed it that it had won its bid for the entire issued share capital of SilTerra, subject to the signing of a definitive agreement.
The Edge –
NeXchange Bhd is understood to be close to bagging a three-year contract in Indonesia for the laying, maintenance and repair of submarine cables. While details are scarce, sources say the contract could be worth RM200 million to RM250 million over the three years and is being awarded by an Indonesian government-linked company (GLC).

Dagang NeXchange Bhd has inked a consortium agreement with PT Infrastruktur Telekomunikasi Indonesia to maintain submarine cables there. DNeX signed the agreement via a consortium comprising its unit PT DNeX Telco Indonesia (PT DTI) and PT Samudera Mbiantu Sesami (PT SMS). The agreement is for the deployment, management, maintenance and repair, as well as other value-added works, for the sea cable communication system maintenance support within and outside of Indonesia. Under the deal, the consortium is established for a period of three years.

Dagang NeXchange Bhd today clarified that it has not entered into any definitive agreement to acquire Khazanah Nasional Bhd’s semiconductor fabricating company SilTerra Malaysia Sdn Bhd. It said the company nevertheless is constantly evaluating various proposals to grow its business organically or through acquisitions including that of SilTerra.

The Group reported a reduction in revenue of 2.5% or RM1.6 million in current quarter as compared to immediate preceding quarter. The Group’s IT business continues to suffer from the post effect on the imposition of Movement Control Order.

The Group reported lower revenue of RM63.6 million in current quarter as compared to immediate preceding quarter. The performance of Group’s trade facilitation & e-Commerce recorded a lower revenue of RM22.1 million in current quarter (Q4, 2019: RM24.7 million), a 10.5% reduction resulted from lesser trade transactions, the effect from the Covid-19 Pandemic and imposition of Movement Control Order. The Group’s Energy also affected with delays in projects arising from MCO as well as significant competitive
pressure in oil & gas activities.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 3.47 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 76.1 million and auditor’s remuneration of 356 thousands
