For the current financial year ended 30 June 2024, the group recorded a revenue of RM3.15 billion was higher by 5% from RM3.00 billion and net profit after tax increased by 16.3% to RM605.4 million from RM520.6 million last year. The increase in revenue and PAT was due to increased production from the upstream activities in Malaysia operations. Also, contributed by higher sales of specialist products and services in various countries on the International front. The increased fabrication activities in New Zealand have also contributed positively to the Group’s better performance in the current financial year. The Group will continue to invest in phased capacity expansions for dedicated long-term customers across the Group’s midstream terminals business portfolio, with the focus on our ongoing development of Pengerang Deepwater Terminals (“PDT”) into the largest petroleum and petrochemical hub for the Asia Pacific region. This is in line with the Group’s longer-term strategy to grow its sustainable and recurring income.

The Group’s revenue for the current financial quarter of RM675.7 million was higher by 13.9% but profit before taxation of RM126.7 million was lower by 10.4%. The lower profit before taxation was mainly attributable to additional project costs and losses incurred for the projects. We are in discussion with our clients for reimbursement and compensation for these cost overruns caused by the unexpected COVID-19 pandemic and the conflict in Ukraine.

    BURSA MALAYSIA

The Group registered a lower revenue of RM331.7 million against RM539.9 million recorded in the preceding quarter. During the current financial quarter under review, the Group continued to focus on the construction of its own midstream terminal assets in Phase 3A of Pengerang Deepwater Terminals and the 85,000 m 3 expansion of DIALOG Terminals Langsat 3. This focus, coupled with the slower downstream activities, resulted in the lower reported revenue
