The group posted an increase in pre-tax profit by RM12.8 million to RM18.5 million in the current quarter ended 30 June 2024 as compared to the previous year corresponding quarter attributed to higher utilization and better charter rates for both its marine assets as well as reversal of vessel impairment. Moving Forward, the Group’s objective is to actively pursue business and/or investments capitalising on the Group’s financial strength as opportunity arises.

The Carimin Group’s PAT surged by a stellar 233.0% or RM16.0 million from RM6.9 million to RM22.9 million in the financial year ended 30 June 2023 (FY2023). The increase in PAT was attributable to the higher utilisation of marine assets with better margins, completed projects, and the lower expected credit loss from a major customer. With the anticipated completion of our Kemaman yard in 2024, we will be well-positioned to capitalise on the increase in oil and gas activities. We are also keenly interested in expanding our involvement in EPCC works for onshore pipeline construction. Furthermore, we are cautiously exploring opportunities in renewable energy, offshore decommissioning and Carbon Capture and Storage or CCS activities
