BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group registered a PBT of RM128.9 million for FY2022 as compared to a LBT of RM69.2 million in FYE 2021. The improved PBT was attributed to the lower impairment losses on property plant and equipment, rights-of-use assets and investment properties and higher gain on disposal of property, plant and equipment and right-of-use assets offset by higher operating and interest expenses recorded in FYE 2022. Going Forward, the Group continues to explore new market opportunities with emphasis on operational efficiency to deliver sustainable growth and satisfactory results for the financial year ending 31 December 2023.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Despite the increase in revenue, the Group recorded a lower profit before tax by 47% in Q3, 2022 mainly due to lower profit contribution from General packaging division as explained below.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Despite the increase in revenue, the Group recorded a lower profit before tax in Q2, 2022 by 9% compared to Q1, 2022 mainly due to lower profit contribution from General packaging division offset by reduced loss from Contract manufacturing division
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group registered a decrease of RM12.2 million in revenue. Despite the decrease in revenue, the Group recorded a profit before tax of RM55.4 million as opposed to a loss before tax of RM201.0 million in Q4, 2021. This was mainly due to impairment losses made on property, plant and equipment, right-of-use assets and investment properties of RM223.5 million and slow moving inventories of RM34.1 million in Q4, 2021.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group registered an increase of RM165.8 million in revenue. BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group registered decrease of RM80.8 million in revenue and RM20.9 million in profit before tax in Q3, 2021 from the immediate preceding quarter. This was mainly due to a drop in the performance in General Packaging division as explained below. In addition, impairment loss on spare parts, loss in foreign currency exchange as well as lower gain on disposal of plant and machinery also contributed to the decrease in profit before tax
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group registered revenue of RM678.8 million in the current quarter under review, an increase of RM26.7 million from the immediate preceding quarter. The increase was mainly due to higher sales in General packaging and Trading divisions. BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax decreased by RM6.2 million to RM39.7 million in Q1, 2021 mainly attributable to lower contribution from General Packaging division owing to lower sales, higher raw material cost, higher distribution and admin expenses and lower other income compared to Q4, 2020.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group registered a revenue of RM568.4 million in the current quarter under review, a decrease of RM76.7 million from the last quarter as most of the divisions suffered lower sales volume compared to last quarter due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MCO and weaker demand.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Total revenue of the division decreased by RM61.2 million to RM552.9 million in the current quarter under review. The lower sales were mainly due to lower production in the second half of March 2020 as a result of the Movement Control Orders (“MCO”) issued by the Government of Malaysia due to COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. However, profit before tax of the division improved to RM5.7 million in Q1, 2020 mainly due to favourable foreign currency exchange in the current quarter as well as impairment of plant and machinery in Q4, 2019.
