BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported a higher pre- tax profit of RM0.96 million in the current quarter as compared to RM4.74 million in the immediate preceding quarter was mainly due to the non-trade bad debts written off of RM0.90 million in the preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The profit before tax for FYE2022 was RM53.86 million, an increase of RM25.39 million against the preceding financial year. This was mainly due to the higher reported gain of RM26.63 million on the fair value gain on investment in quoted shares compared to the preceding financial year. The Group will diligently focus on improving the overall sales of all its products, especially the newly launched “A1 Tok Sai” chilli sauce, continuous efforts will be put to optimise its operations while intensifying research and development into new innovative products to cater to the markets emerging needs. In this connection, the Group is currently undergoing a “Borneo Centric” rebranding exercise, which will focus on Borneo on its relevance and its importance to the world at large.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported a decrease in profit before tax of RM30.25 million compared to the immediate preceding quarter, mainly due to the fair value gain on investment in quoted securities of RM2.36 million for the current quarter against RM35.30 million for the preceding quarter.

The Group reported an increase in profit before tax of RM24.53 million as compared to the immediate preceding quarter was mainly due to the fair value gain on investment in quoted securities of RM35.30 million for the current quarter against RM12.12 million for the previous quarter.

The Group reported an increase in profit before tax of RM6.61 million compared to the immediate preceding quarter was mainly due to the resulting gain in fair value gain on investment in quoted securities of RM12.12 million for the current quarter compared to RM3.26 million for the previous quarter.

The Group reported a loss before taxation of RM3.61 million as compared to a profit before taxation of RM1.76 million was mainly due to the bad debts written back of RM8.5 million during the preceding quarter.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 1.88 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 12 million and auditor’s remuneration of 295 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group registered a revenue of RM16.16 million and a profit before taxation of RM3.29 million for the current quarter as compared to a revenue of RM19.72 million and a loss before taxation of RM0.56 million for the immediate preceding quarter. The Group reported a profit before taxation and reduction in revenue mainly due to the revaluation that was conducted on a property previously held under properties, plant and equipment that was reclassified to Investment Properties in accordance to MFRS 140.
The Star –
Interest in Borneo Oil Bhd’s shares picked up last week on progress in its gold mining activities. The company saw its share price gain half a sen last Friday to close at seven sen. It was one of the most actively traded counters last week. The company recently announced a tie-up with Minetech Construction Sdn Bhd (MCSB) to carry out gold mining activities in Bukit Ibam, Pahang.
The Star –
After gold prices dropped by over 2% to below US$1,990 per ounce, pressured by a stronger US dollar, investors scrambled to dump gold-related stocks in panic selling. Borneo Oil Bhd, whose share price rallied to a two-year high in the past few days after the company announced a gold deposits discovery in one of its mining plots, also dived by almost 12% yesterday.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group registered a revenue of RM19.72 million and a loss before taxation of RM0.56 million for the current quarter as compared to a revenue of RM29.17 million and a profit before taxation of RM0.53 million for the preceding quarter. The Group posted a lower revenue was primarily due to the restricted and prohibited business activities during the MCO. The decrease in loss before taxation was mainly due to the decline in revenue coupled with the loss on disposal of property, plant and equipment.
INVESTING MALAYSIA –
BORNOIL (31 DEC 19) Borneo Oil Bhd is planning to raise up to RM30.56 million via private placement of up to 10% of its total issued shares to third party investors to be identified, to fund its limestone operations.

In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 0.92 million. It was slightly low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 11.6 million and auditor’s remuneration of 275 thousands
