BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded revenue of RM40.56 million for the current year quarter (“Q2 2023”) under review as compared to RM30.88 million for the immediate preceding quarter (“Q1 2023”). The revenue contribution from mechanical and electrical engineering segment highly depends on the stage of completion for various projects. The Group recorded a lower PBT of RM0.19 million in Q2 2023 as compared to RM0.97 million in Q1 2023 mainly derived from higher cost growth.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a profit before taxation in current quarter of RM0.24 million as compared to RM1.26 million in Q1 2022. The decreased mainly due resurgence of COVID-19 cases and the reimposition of Movement Control Order 3.0 beginning from 1 June 2021 to 28 June 2021 which caused the slow in gradual recovery of Malaysian economic.
The Star –
Bintai Kinden has increased the size of its private placement to partly pay for its acquisition of medical engineering solutions provider Johnson Medical International Sdn Bhd (JMI). The placement will now comprise 190.95 million shares or 50% of the group’s share capital, and seeks to raise RM72.56mil based on an indicative price of 38 sen per share.

Bintai Kinden’s subsidiary Bintai Healthcare Sdn Bhd has received the Certificate of Conformity in Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices from Medivice Certification Sdn Bhd for its Greenie Medi Cold Chain Box, which is designed to store and distribute Covid-19 vaccines.

Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary Kejuruteraan Bintai Kindenko Sdn Bhd has bagged a RM9.78 million contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) to undertake the asset replacement and refurbishment for transformer, earthing transformer and reactor to PMU 275/33 KV Grik.

Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd has signed an agreement to supply its cold chain boxes for the storage and distribution of Covid-19 vaccines. In a bourse filing, the group said its 50.05%-owned subsidiary Bintai Healthcare Sdn Bhd (BHSB) had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with SRT-EON Security Services Sdn Bhd for the latter to procure the Greenie Cold Chain Box from BHSB for the distribution of Covid-19 vaccines.

Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd is teaming up with Australian-based company, International Equities Corp Ltd, to jointly undertake two mixed property development and management projects with healthcare facilities and wellness services in Melaka and Penang. Bintai Kinden will take lead in the project to be developed on two parcels of freehold land spanning 2.16 hectares in Melaka and Penang with an estimated gross development value of RM470 million.

Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd is among the stocks to watch on Friday, according to JF Apex Research. Bintai Kinden announced that it intends to diversify into property development and management as a strategy to reduce its “reliance solely on the mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering business”. On top of that, the company is also proposing a private placement exercise to raise fresh capital of RM58.43mil to fund the new venture.
