BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue grew 15.6% to RM284.5 million in 2022, from RM246.2 million in the previous financial year, driven by incremental rental income from newly acquired properties, sustained portfolio occupancy, higher rents for new leases, as well as positive rental reversions for renewals. Net property income increased by 15.2% to RM245.3 million in 2022, from RM212.9 million in 2021. For Axis-REIT, structural drivers behind industrial real estate assets remain intact, global geopolitical tensions and postpandemic supply chain strategies continue to drive investments in supply chain reconfiguration plans, and with this, demand for industrial properties. On the ground, Malaysia’s manufacturing sector continues to flourish, supported by accommodating policies and incentives, a deep and broad ecosystem of supporting industries, as well as extensive infrastructure.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
For 1Q2022, Axis-REIT’s property income was RM66,159,000, 4.9% higher compared to the immediate preceding quarter (“4Q2021”) of RM63,061,000, mainly due to contributions from newly acquired properties and sale of recycled materials arising from the demolition work at BRDC2.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Net income before lease incentive adjustment was RM37,379,000, 21.1% higher compared to 2Q2021 of RM30,864,000, mainly due to higher property income due to contributions of full three months rental from tenancy at D8 Logistics Warehouse and also positive rental reversion and lower expenditure.
The Star –
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Axis Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) has a high tenant retention rate and this poses lower risk of non-renewals. Most research houses have retained their earnings forecast for the stock, although some had adjusted them after Axis turned in a positive set of financial results for the financial year (FY) ended Dec 31,2020. UOB Kay Hian Research said they expect 2021 earnings growth of 10%, driven by completed and pending completion acquisitions in the pipeline.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
For 3Q2020, Axis-REIT’s property income was RM57,248,000, 4% higher compared to the immediate preceding quarter (“2Q2020”) of RM55,023,000, mainly due to contributions from newly acquired properties and higher carpark income in 3Q2020 as the Fund has given waiver on season carpark rental for all its multi-tenanted buildings during the period of Movement Control Order.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
For 2Q2020, Axis-REIT’s property income was RM55,023,000, 0.3% higher compared to the immediate preceding quarter (“1Q2020”) of RM54,875,000, mainly due to contributions from newly acquired properties. Net income before lease incentive was also higher due to higher property income and lower expenses.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
For 1Q2020, Axis-REIT’s property income was RM54,875,000, 0.9% higher compared to 4Q2019 of RM54,407,000, mainly due to contributions from newly acquired properties. Net income before lease incentive adjustment was RM30,212,000 for 1Q2020, 1.5% higher compared to 4Q2019 of RM29,768,000, due to higher property income and lower expenses.
