BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue for the current quarter of RM1,091.0m improved by RM38.1m compared to the preceding quarter of RM1,052.9m. This was mainly due to increase in merchandise sales, offset by drop in advertising revenue. Net profit increased by RM64.3m to RM137.2m during the quarter. The increase was in tandem with the increase in EBITDA and higher tax expenses, offset by lower net finance costs.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 27.25 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 558.2 million and auditor’s remuneration of 1749 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue for the current quarter of RM1,225.6 million improved by RM10.2m or 0.8% compared to the preceding quarter of RM1,215.4 million. This was contributed by increase in merchandise sales, sales of programming rights and advertising revenue, offset by decrease in subscription revenue.

ASTRO (14 JAN 20) CGS-CIMB Research has maintained its “Add” call on Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd at RM1.28 with an unchanged target price of RM1.75 as it believes that Astro’s proactive measures to reinvent itself could grant the group a new earnings growth cycle this coming decade.
