For the financial period ended 30 June 2024, the Group achieved a profit before taxation of RM36.7 million, marking a significant positive shift compared to the profit before taxation of RM14.9 million reported in the same period last year. The higher in PBT were mainly contributed by OSV segment and Subsea/OIC Segment. Moving forward, the group are committed to prudently overseeing and executing effective strategies for the Group’s operations. We will ensure that the enhancement of shareholder value remains a strategic priority, consistently and periodically

The Group recorded a loss before taxation for the current financial period of RM2.9 million. The performance of the OSV segment was lower primarily due to lower vessel utilisation and the derecognition of OIC potential income. AMRB will continue leveraging its business model of synergistic solutions to better optimise the strengths and capabilities of its various business segments. This will be done in tandem with the pursuit of an asset-light strategy, as AMRB will also keep
transforming its business by continuing to dispose of ageing and surplus vessels that have little prospect in securing or servicing contracts.

The Group’s revenue for the current quarter of RM54.4 million was lower than the preceding quarter’s revenue of RM66.4 million. This was mainly due to lower revenue contribution from subsea and OIC segment. The profit before taxation for the current quarter was recorded at RM0.5 million as compared to loss before taxation of RM5 million registered for the preceding quarter. The profit was due to over provision of costs in relation to TNAG project which was reversed out.
