BURSA MALAYSIA –
AFFIN Group recorded a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of RM1,376.8 million, an increase of 95.6% for the financial year ended 2022 (FY2022) compared to RM70.4 million in the previous financial year. The improvement in PBT was supported by an increase in Net Interest Income (NII) which rose by 13.6% or RM122.7 million to RM1,022.6 million compared to FY2021. Going Forward, the Group has positioned itself effectively and set the RUN23 (Revolutionise Digital, Unrivalled Customer Services, Navigating Uncertainties 2023) chapter towards achieving the A25 aspirations. Also, the Group is committed to advancing its transformation journey to become a leading financial solution provider of the future by leveraging innovative technologies and features to deliver outstanding customer service and foster new business opportunities.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Loss before tax of the Group for the quarter under review stood at RM156.4 million, lower by RM330.6 million or 189.8% against the preceding quarter ended 30 June 2022 of RM174.2 million. This was mainly attributed by higher operating expenses of RM59.1 million, higher allowances for impairment losses of RM278.0 million and lower share of profits from joint venture and associated company.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax for the Group for the quarter under review increased by RM8.9 million or 5.4% to RM174.2 million against the preceding quarter ended 31 March 2022 of RM165.3 million. This was due to higher net income of RM54.1 million offset by higher allowances for impairment losses, higher operating expenses and lower share of profits from joint venture of RM37.9 million, RM13.0 million and RM3.6 million respectively. The share of profits from associate however increased by RM9.3 million to RM17.6 million for the quarter under review.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax for the Group for the quarter under review decreased by RM34.6 million or 14.8% to RM200.2 million against the preceding quarter ended 31 December 2021 of RM234.8 million. This was due to lower net interest income of RM19.2 million, lower non interest income of RM18.9 million, lower Islamic Banking income of RM10.8 million, partially offset by lower operating expenses and higher share of profits from the joint venture and associate of RM5.9 million and RM2.8 million respectively.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax for the Group for the quarter under review increased by RM48.0 million or 25.7% to RM234.8 million against the preceding quarter ended 30 September 2021 of RM186.8 million. This was due to lower allowance for impairment losses of RM51.2 million and higher Islamic Banking income and net interest income of RM25.5 million and RM15.9 million respectively, partially offset by lower non-interest income and lower share of profits from the joint venture and associate of RM16.1 million and RM2.9 million respectively.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax for the Group for the quarter under review increased by RM12.7 million or 7.3% to RM186.8 million against the preceding quarter ended 30 June 2021 of RM174.1 million. This was due to lower allowance for impairment losses of RM32.3 million, lower operating expenses of RM14.2 million and higher net interest income and Islamic Banking income of RM6.9 million and RM7.4 million respectively, offset by lower non-interest income and lower share of profits from the joint venture and associate of RM40.7 million and RM5.7 million respectively
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax for the quarter ended 30 June 2021 improved by RM65.9 million or 60.9% to RM174.1 million against the preceding quarter ended 31 March 2021 of RM108.2 million, mainly attributed to higher net interest income of RM32.9 million, lower allowance for impairment losses of RM12.2 million, higher net fee and commission income and share of results in an associate of RM12.3 million and RM12.0 million respectively.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax for the quarter ended 31 March 2021 improved by RM84.7 million or more than 100.0% to RM108.2 million against the preceding quarter ended 31 December 2020 of RM23.5 million, largely contributed by lower allowance for impairment losses of RM172.3 million and lower operating expenses of RM13.3 million, offset by lower net interest income, net fee and commission income and share of profit in associate of RM57.3 million, RM17.8 million and RM18.0 million respectively.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported a lower PBT of RM93.6 million as compared to RM174.3 million achieved in the preceding financial quarter, mainly due to higher overhead expenses of RM50.7 million, recognition of modification losses on loan financing moratorium accounts of RM79.7 million, lower Islamic banking income of RM31.8 million, lower gain on sales of financial instruments of RM20.3 million and lower net interest income of RM16.2 million.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported a higher pre-tax profit of RM174.3 million as compared to RM166.2 million in the preceding quarter. The increase in net income which largely contributed by higher net gain on sales of financial instruments was offset by higher allowance on credit impairment losses and higher overhead expenses.
