The Group registered a PBT of RM25.13 million in current financial year ended 30 June 2024, an increase of RM11.94 million from RM13.19 million in the previous corresponding period. The increase in PBT was attributable to an increase in gross profit of the Group from RM33.77 million to RM50.44 million, or an increase of RM16.67 million which then offset by the increase in administrative expenses from RM13.33 million to RM21.24 million. Going forward, The Group plans to leverage on the developments by actively participating in new contracts via open tender process. The RM7 billion capital expenditure in estimated engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (“EPCC”) contract works from LSS5 provides vast opportunity to the Group.

The increase in revenue compared with 1Q2023 is mainly contributed from the substation engineering segment, which had increased from RM10.51 million in 1Q2023 to RM19.35 million in the 2Q2023, up 84.02% q-o-q. The increase in substation engineering segment is mainly contributed by commencement of several major projects which has been secured by the Group recently. The Group registered a PBT of RM3.47 million in the 2Q2023, an increase of RM1.84 million or 113.13% q-o-q from PBT of RM1.63 million recorded in the 1Q2023

On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the Group PBT increased by RM0.46 million as compared with the preceding quarter. The increase in the current quarter was mainly attributable to higher construction activities incurred during the quarter, which had increased the gross profit for the current quarter.

Net profit FY2022 was RM5.53 million, down by 32.0% from the previous corresponding period, attributable to a one-off listing expense amounting to RM1.97 million and a net impairment loss of financial assets and contract assets of RM2.48 million. As part of our plans for the utilization of the proceeds from the IPO, we will acquire additional machinery and equipment which will allow us to expand the scale of the projects undertaken. The Group will also venture into the assembly of neutral disconnectors for sales and distribution in Malaysia. We also intend to secure more LSS substation projects to strengthen our substation engineering services and solutions business segment

The Group registered a LBT of RM0.60 million in 4Q2022, a decrease of RM3.15 million from RM2.55 million in 3Q2022. Excluding the listing expenses of RM1.15 million and net impairment loss of financial assets and contract assets of RM1.33 million which incurred in 4Q2022, the adjusted PBT would have been RM1.88 million for the current financial quarter, a decrease of RM0.67 million from the preceding quarter resulted from lower revenue generated.

The Group registered a PBT of RM2.55 million in 3Q2022, a decrease of RM1.34 million from RM3.89 million in 2Q2022. The decrease was mainly attributable to commencement of projects with lower profit margin as a result of competitive bidding strategy, and had substantial completion of 2 higher profit margin projects in 2Q2022.
