The Group’s PBT decreased by RM1.52 million or 8.77% from RM17.37 million in the previous year to RM15.85 million in the current financial period ended 30 June 2024 mainly due to lower revenue and accelerated amortisation charges due to shorter lease period. Moving Forward, given the performance of the Group during the financial year ended 30 June 2024, we are cautiously optimistic that the Group’s prospects for the financial year ending 30 June 2025 shall be comparable to the prior financial year.

Our Group’s gross profit for FYE 2023 amounted to RM30.73 million, an increase of RM4.68 million or 17.94% from RM26.05 million in FYE 2022. The increase was attributable to the price increase and the overall increase in the number of endoscopic procedures performed. Following a thorough evaluation of our Group’s performance throughout the fiscal year that concluded on 30 June 2023 and taking into account our strategic enhancements, including the incorporation of 8 daycare beds and the expansion into complementary medical services in urology, cardiology and oncology, our esteemed Board of Directors anticipates a promising outlook for our Group in the upcoming fiscal year ending on 30 June 2024.

The Group’s PBT increased by RM1.52 million or approximately 44.91% from RM3.37 million in the immediate preceding quarter to RM4.89 million in the current financial quarter. The increase was mainly due to the increase in revenue as discussed above the increase in gross profit margin due to lower operating costs as some of the Group’s medical equipment has been fully depreciated and higher interest income from the placement of IPO proceeds with financial institutions in the current financial quarter

The Group recorded 8.51% quarter-on-quarter increase in revenue and 7.73% quarter-on-quarter increase in PBT. This was mainly due to higher patient volume and number of procedures and surgeries performed, and also further relaxation of COVID-19 standard operating procedures since 1 May 2022 as announced by the Government as well as shorter month of February 2022 and Chinese New Year period in the preceding quarter

From September onwards, the number of patients has recovered on the back of the decline in Covid-19 cases and higher vaccination rate. This has resulted in the increase in revenue by approximately RM2.15 million during the quarter ended 31 December 2021 as compared to the quarter ended 30 September 2021. The Group’s PBT increased by RM1.06 million mainly due to the increase in revenue in the current financial quarter under review.
