BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s PBT increased marginally from RM9.08 million for the FYE 2021 to RM9.14 million for the FYE 2022, representing an increase of RM0.06 million or 0.56% owing mainly to higher administrative expenditure incurred during the financial year under review. Going Forward, the Group will continue to focus on its core competency in building construction in the districts of Johor Bahru, Kulai, Pontian and Kluang as well as expanding into other districts in Johor and focus on construction projects involving landed residential buildings and industrial buildings. The Group expects their performance to be continuously driven by their ability to successfully complete the on-going construction projects. the grou[ are constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to secure new construction projects.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The gross profit margins registered for the current quarter and immediate preceding quarter of the current financial year were consistent at 11.61% and 11.26% respectively. Corresponding to the above, profit before tax and profit after tax in the quarter under review increased to RM2.03 million and RM1.35 million respectively as compared to RM1.66 million and RM1.17 million respectively reported for the immediate preceding quarter
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The profit before tax and profit after tax of the Group for the current quarter of RM2.21 million and RM1.62 million respectively also declined by 51.15% and 49.55% respectively as compared to the immediate preceding quarter. This decline was mainly contributed by the lower gross profit margin which saw a decline from 20.96%
registered for the quarter ended 31 December 2021 to 13.33% for the quarter under review
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Compared to a loss before tax of RM0.43 million for the quarter ended 30 September 2021, the Group reported a profit before tax of RM4.52 million for the quarter under review. Besides the increased activity of construction works being undertaken on the Group’s new and ongoing building construction projects as explained in the foregoing paragraphs, the improved profit was also partly contributed by the reversal of accruals for director fees during the current quarter arising from voluntary waiver of director fees’ entitlement by the directors of the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Haily Construction Sdn Bhd.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group registered a lower revenue of RM28.60 million as compared to RM43.30 million for the preceding quarter. The Group’s gross profit, profit before tax and PAT for the current quarter has also decreased by 31.28%, 65.56% and 71.15% respectively as compared to the result for the immediate preceding quarter. The lower revenue and profits registered for the current quarter were mainly due to the imposition of a three-phase nationwide lockdown (Full MCO 3.0) announced by the Government of Malaysia on 28 May 2021 (which was subsequently replaced by a four-phase National Recovery Plan effective from 15 June 2021).
