    The Group registered a loss before tax of RM4.58 million in FY2022 as compared to a profit before taxation of RM11.5 million in the previous year. The adverse change was due to depressed gross margin mainly caused by sudden steel price reduction. Going forward, the group made an investments in R&D projects with academic and industry partners in order to maintain their position as one of the leading brands in the region by ensuring that they continuously deliver innovative and affordable products. The group aim to introduce more products next year.

The poor performance in 3Q22 was mainly due to the rapid and substantial decrease in the average selling price of steel products which resulted in the fall of gross profit margin by more than 10% compared to the preceding quarter. Further, the financial result is accentuated by lower sales as the steel sector turned cautions with the downturn in steel price.

The better performance in 2Q22 was mainly due to higher gross profit margin by about 2.9% coupled with higher sales volume by about 16%.
