BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported a PBT of RM39.0 million, which included the accounting treatment for the Employees’ Share Option Scheme (“ESOS”) of RM9.4 million, versus RM30.7 million in FY2021. This translated to a YoY improvement of 27.2% YoY driven by the Food and Restaurant Divisions. Going Forward, For Industrial Division, the group continue in their journey to transform into a specialty chemicals distribution player by enlarging their specialty product portfolio to expand into higher margin product segments. Meanwhile for the Group’s Food Division, the demand from customers has been affected by the weaker consumer sentiment due to the global economic uncertainties. In view of this, the group are penetrating new markets to mitigate the slowdown. The group launched new products under the Seapack brand in FY2022 such as prawn tail, breaded scallop and Takoyaki. Looking ahead, the group will continue to focus on expanding their market presence, new products and new countries.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group achieved a revenue of RM251.8 million in the current quarter, representing a decrease of 10.91% compared to the preceding quarter. The Group’s pre-tax profit was 81.37% lower at RM1.7 million in the current quarter mainly due to loss incurred by the Food Division and lower contribution from the Polymer Engineering Division. The Food Division’s performance was affected by weaker consumer demand, higher raw materials prices and higher operating costs while Polymer Engineering Division’s performance was mainly affected by the slowdown in global market demand in the hard disk drive sector.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group achieved a revenue of RM282.6 million in the current quarter, representing a decrease of 6.26%
compared to the preceding quarter. The Group’s pre-tax profit was 4.99% lower at RM9.0 million in the
current quarter mainly due to lower contribution from the Industrial Division. The Industrial Division’s
performance was affected by weaker consumer demand from the textile, construction and latex glove
industries.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s pre-tax profit was 49.71% lower at RM9.5 million in the current quarter mainly due to lower contribution from Food and Restaurant Divisions. The Food Division’s results were affected by the fishing ban imposed by the Myanmar Government from April to June 2022 while the Restaurant Division’s performance was affected by a drop in its restaurant operations revenue during the Ramadhan period and higher finance costs related to the acquisition of 28% of the issued share capital of Sushi King Sdn. Bhd..
BURSA MALAYSIA –
In tandem with lower revenue, the Group recorded a pre-tax profit of RM18.9 million (Q4 2021: pre-tax profit of RM20.5 million) representing a decrease of 8.15% attributable mainly by the lower revenue and pre-tax profit for the Restaurant Division compared to Q4 2021 impacted by the sudden surge in Omicron cases during the current Q1 2022 as well as due to the various factors for the Group’s operations in Malaysia and overseas.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a pre-tax profit of RM20.5 million (Q3 2021: pretax profit of RM1.5 million) as the Group registered improved performance based on improvement in domestic demand as economic activity normalised following the easing of containment measures under the National Recovery Plan with the improvements in growth recorded in all economic sectors driven by higher consumption and trade activities as well as due to the various factors
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a pre-tax profit of RM1.5 million (Q2 2021: pre-tax loss of RM1.5 million) as the Group made continuous efforts to improve its performance based on improved cost management despite the Covid-19 pandemic challenges during the current quarter faced by the Group’s operations in Malaysia and overseas as well as due to higher revenue and product mix in Industrial Division and improved performances from most of Polymer Engineering Division operations in Malaysia and Thailand.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group achieved revenue of RM266.7 million in the current quarter, representing a slight decrease of 1.30% against the preceding quarter. The Group achieved a pre-tax profit of RM10.1 million in the current quarter, as we continued to drive a recovery momentum building on the guiding principles of efficient cost and fund management
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group achieved revenue of RM287.6 million in the current quarter, representing an increase of 38.1% against the preceding quarter. This resulted in a pre-tax profit of RM12.8 million, compared to the pre-tax loss of RM18.8 million in the preceding quarter, as the Group continued to drive a recovery momentum with various business and marketing strategies, austerity measures, cost efficiencies, conserving cash flow as well as various factors.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue of RM208.23 million is lower in the current quarter as compared to the preceding quarter which was RM251.69 million and higher operating loss of RM8.5 million is recorded in the current quarter against preceding quarter which was RM2.2 million. It is mainly due to the resultant MCOs and adverse economic impact arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 4.93 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 188.3 million and auditor’s remuneration of 303 thousands
