BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group has recorded a loss before tax of RM44.15 million as compared to RM2.28 million in the financial year ended 30 June 2022, representing an increase of RM41.87 million. The deterioration of results was mainly due to fluctuation in raw material costs and foreign currency exchange rate and also higher operating costs to attributed new additional factory operations. Journey ahead, Ta Win is resolute in seeking vertical integration within the copper industry. Exploring both upstream and downstream opportunities, we pave the way for a more streamlined and sustainable supply chain. By harnessing expertise from raw materials to end products, we”re poised to drive operational efficiency and minimise environmental impact. Notwithstanding this, we remain open to exploring new opportunities that can bring positive returns to our group.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group has recorded a loss before tax of RM2.28 million as compared to RM12.89 million in the financial year ended 30 June 2021, representing an improvement of RM10.61 million or 82.31%. The improvement in revenue, profitability and gross profit margin were mainly due to the successful strategic plans such as increasing production capacity and capability to meet global demand and continued efforts in strengthening our downstream copper business in manufacturing of cable and wires. The Group is aiming progressively in taking on new ways of doing business by taking into consideration of the rapid
transformation in the end-wire and cable design and manufacturing industry whilst we will continue in our efforts to achieve operational excellence for all our existing businesses. The Group will also continuously make use of its extensive network in the industry to secure more business collaborations and investors participation
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded profit before tax of RM6.2 million for the 3-month FPE 31 March 2022 as compared to RM6.4 million in the immediately preceding quarter. The continue profit before tax mainly contributed by three major subsidiaries, Ta Win Industries (M) Sdn Bhd, Cyprium Wire Technology Sdn Bhd and Sin Line Tek Electronic Co. Sdn Bhd with higher margin earned.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a lower loss before tax of RM3.7 million for the 3-month FPE 30 September 2021 as compared to a loss before tax of RM8.0 million in the immediately preceding quarter. The lower loss before tax is attributable to absence of one-off and non-recurring expenses from the immediately preceding quarter, albeit partially offset by lower production activities.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Our Group recorded a lower loss before tax of RM12.9 million for the FYE 30 June 2021 as compared to a loss before tax of RM14.2 million in the previous financial year. The increase in was mainly attributable to higher sales volume coupled with a higher average selling price of copper rods and wires as a result of higher LME copper prices. Our Group will keep with our current pace of business activities, focusing on our core businesses in the Signal and Power Solutions Business, manufacturing of copper rods and wires, as well as wire harness, alternative current (AC) and direct current (DC) power cords, where demand is strong.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a higher loss before tax of approximately RM8.0 million compared to loss before tax of approximately RM0.4 million in the immediately preceding quarter. The increase in loss before tax was mainly due to lower gross profit margin ), the provision of custom claim of RM3.2 million and one-off corporate exercises expenses of RM1.4 million. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic has also affected the business operations along the supply chain and consequently the Group’s financial performance following the imposition of Movement Control Order (“MCO”) 3.0 on 12 May 2021 and Full MCO on 1 June 2021.

Loss-making copper wire and rod maker Ta Win Holdings Bhd says it will soon be reporting a profit in the coming fourth quarter of its financial year following several corporate moves it had made to diversify its business last year. The two companies which it had acquired are associate company Royce Pharma Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (RPM) in which Ta Win has a 32.5% equity stake and subsidiary Sin Line Tek Electronic Co Sdn Bhd (SLT) in which Ta Win has a 51% stake.

Copper wires and rods manufacturer Ta Win Holdings Bhd will be investing up to RM20mil to establish the first local privately-owned electron beam irradiation plant in Malaysia. Ta Win said its subsidiary, Cyprium Wire Technology Sdn Bhd (CWT), had entered into a sales and consultancy agreement with CGN Dasheng Electron Accelerator Technology Co Ltd (CGN Dasheng) to purchase the electron beam irradiation systems from CGN Dasheng for US$1.03mil

The Group recorded a narrower loss before tax of approximately RM1.5 million compared to a loss before tax of approximately RM3.1 million in the immediately preceding quarter. The improvement achieved during the current quarter under review is mainly attributable to higher revenue recorded by the manufacturing segment, albeit partially offset by higher finance costs, transportation costs and unrealised foreign currency translation losses in the current quarter under review as compared to the immediately preceding quarter.

Copper products maker Ta Win Holdings Bhd plans to acquire about 30% of Royce Pharma Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, according to sources. Incorporated in April 2004, Royce Pharma is a pharmaceutical manufacturing firm based in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. According to the healthcare company’s website, it is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for formulation in R&D, manufacturing of both pilot and commercial batches, warehousing and distribution as well as sales and marketing of pharmaceutical products.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 3.65 million. It was high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 5.4 million and auditor’s remuneration of 125 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue for the current quarter decreased by 68.2% from RM63.266 million to RM37.620 million as compared to preceding quarter. The decrease in revenue was mainly due to delivery as a result of the disruption to the businesses in the local and oversea markets due to the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Group recorded a 62.6% enlarged in loss before tax from RM3.249 million in the preceding quarter to RM5.283 million in the current quarter. The increase in the loss before tax was mainly due to the lower revenue and sunk cost.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 2.3 million. It was high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 6.9 million and auditor’s remuneration of 108 thousands
