BURSA MALAYSIA –
The group’s recorded PBIT of RM2.75 million in the financial year ended 30 June 2024 compared to RM2.08 million in the preceding year. The increase in PBIT was due to higher profit from Onsite Rental and South-East Asia as well as profit contribution from Cavpower. This was partly offset by the weaker performance in China and New Zealand. Also contributed by the automotive businesses. Going forward, The strong performance of the Industrial division, however, continues to be supported by robust demand for equipment and maintenance support from the mining industry in Australia. Despite the challenging market situation, the Board anticipates that the Group’s core financial performance for the financial year ending 30 June 2025 will be consistent with that of the previous year.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s net revenue decreased from RM190.5 million in the immediate preceding quarter to RM189.7 million due to lower sales volume in Malaysia. The Group recorded an increase in gross profit from RM16.8 million in Q3, 2022 to RM17.3 million in Q4, 2022, mainly contributed by improved sales volume in Vietnam and Myanmar. Due to the aforesaid reason, the Group reported a loss before taxation of RM0.4 million in Q4, 2022 as opposed to a loss before taxation of RM0.8 million in Q3, 2022.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s Net Profit increased by 46.2% against the preceding quarter mainly due the stronger results from the Industrial and Motors divisions. The higher PBIT in Australasia was mainly due to the improvement in parts margins while the China operations performed better mainly due to higher parts revenue and rebates.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s Net Profit decreased by 52.6% against the preceding quarter mainly due to the gain on disposal of Tesco Malaysia of RM272 million (net of tax) recorded in the preceding quarter. Excluding this, the Group’s Net Profit would have decreased by 16.9% mainly due to lower profit from the Industrial and Motors divisions.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s Net Profit increased by 53.9% against the preceding quarter mainly due dividend income recognised in the current quarter, coupled with the higher share of loss from Eastern & Oriental Berhad in the preceding quarter. The adverse impact of the coronavirus outbreak during the quarter was also partly offset by the strong recovery of the China operations.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s profit before tax was RM224.0 million for current quarter as compared to RM413.0 million for preceding quarter. The profit declined mainly due to the adverse impact of the coronavirus outbreak, particularly within the China operations, foreign exchange loss and higher share of loss from E&O.
